Anyone see the halftime score? Bulls 26 Hawks 38.

It will be some time before we see what each team (besides the heat and thunder) is really all about. In the mean time, we will see ugly/inconsistent basketball almost everywhere.

Knicks get healthy and they're a top 5-8 team in the NBA. Mark it down.

Agreed, with the exception of a handful of teams, the rest of the league is hovering around .500 or lower. At full strength, talent wise the Knicks should and will end up a top 4 team in the East.

I disagree and I was able to watch most of this game last night, what a freakin game. I found myself wishing that the knicks played like either of these teams, hard defense, good ball movement on offense, etc. Rose is really unbelievable. He can get to the rim / foul line at will. He might be the most explosive player on the court now. Great game and makes me RE-remember how annoying knicks basketball has become to watch.

Chicago scored a fantastic 42 points in the first three quarters of the game and 34 in the fourth. Rose was involved in 23 of the later. Anyone want to predict what their record would be w/o their starting PG?
They would average 50 points a game, but yeah Thibs such a great coach! His entire offensive philosophy is name Derrick Rose! At least has a system.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Derrick Rose illustrates our beloved Knicks are light years away from quality guard play.

You guys are being stubborn. The first 3 1/2 quarters of that game were PUTRID. It wasn't good defense so much as people missing shots. Yes, the end of the game was good ebcause D. Rose is unreal. But are you serious? That was a HORRIBLE game because no one could hit a shot or get into the flow of their offense. And that was my point. Sloppy baseketball will be seen from every team for a bit until they're in the swing of things.

WE WILL BE OK!!!

Yeah I must agree it wasn't so much the defense in the first three quarters of play because the bulls were missing open shots, shots at the rim and in the lane. Rose is the only reason for that guard play. Have you seen the bulls forwards play? makes me remember why we went and got melo. Deng and boozer get lost out their they can't create for their selfs.

Deng was super clutch and moves well without the ball. I was more focused on Atlanta cause i have Teague and Horford in Fantasy, but I enjoyed the game and didn't notice tons of missed shots, i noticed tons of good defense. The Knicks teams I loved struggled to score 80 points a game, so that is where I come from. Maybe it is an aethestic debate (like art) but I don't like watching games that are 120 - 124 with no defense being played. Good basketball = good defense. That is why, at the end of the year, when teams are competing for the playoffs or in the playoffs, scoring dips substantially and you will see more games like the game last night. Both teams are better than the Knicks and both will be in the playoffs.

Yeah I agree with you but as far as defense goes. Our problem on defense is the mental laps we have. We play good D and than all of a sudden teams are getting easy layup's or finding the back door plays open.

I am aware that we aren't going to be a top 5 defense but if this team can be 8-14 ranked which I think we can I think we can compete.
