Besides the fact that the team needed a change badly, can anyone tell me if they stand to lose a first round pick from a previous trade (McDyess??) if they don't make the playoff this season?

I seem to remember hearing something about this, but I don't know if its true or who the team is that will gain if the Knicks don't make the playoffs this year.

i believe the first round pick our talking about is Nene Hilario, which is also doing quite well.....but i guess mycdyess got us marbary...

Phoenix gets the knx 1st round pick this year plus a conditional first round pick between 2006-2015 that is conditional as to when they may exercise

So if the Knicks don't make the playoffs, Pheonix gets their first round pick? this must be from the Stephon trade right?

I thought there was something from the Layden days that was done (like the original trade for McDyess before he got hurt) that we are still somehow paying for if we don't make the playoffs...
