The way he didn't look for his shot at all in the first quarter. I saw that as him providing lleadership to what was a very young team at the time.Letting them get involved in the flow of the game while knowing he was there as a security blanket if they couldn't cut it. I was most impressed by that.

Thoughts?

I noticed that especially in fields. fields looks more comfortable than i've seen him in a year. i'm not saying Melo shouldn't be the primary weapon but i think it helps the team if they spread it out. It opens things up like douglas and chandler

Melo reminds me of Lebron in Celeveland when he was bringing the ball up at times and passing it around to get teammates involved. After a while it became a dimension of Lebron's game that made him even more deadly, we can only hope the same happens with Melo.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Yep, so true. I think with Fields especially, getting touches early made him feel more in touch with the game and further able to express himself with his propensity to time a run into the paint for a tip-in or his favoured back door cuts.

With Melo acting as a cog in the wheel as opposed to the final stop, the rest of the team can become a part of the offense instead of just being facilitators for the iso. He should get big credit for that.

it's exactly the type of transformation that Jordan had to get over in CHI when Phil Jackson stepped in. Hopefully it will continue.
