That shot reminded me of Ewings finger roll against the pacers. It should have gone on in. I generally like when guys lay it in and don't show boat but in that situation I guess Gallo should have dunked.

Nothing alike! Patrick Ewing had carried the Knicks on his back as the go to guy and franchise player all season (and for years) and was banged up. Fatigue from a man who shouldered a team all year AND in the playoffs is different to me. Ewing couldn't quite get the lift that he needed to dunk so he went for the finger roll. Rimmed out. As much as it hurt I can take that from a warrior who was the reason we were there in the first place. Gallo just simply missed a game winning (or tying) layup on a fast break by himself at the rim in the beginning of the season. Huge difference. Bad comparison.

I guess everyone forgets the sleeve he wore on the leg that series. The guy was playing thru pain. I don't ever ever ever want to hear Gallo's wack ass sellout at the rim by himself be compared to Ewing.

We had enough Gallo sucks threads when he was here.

Enough already.

OK...one more point. He actually had two chances to win the game. He shot a brick from three, then followed that up with a missed layup.

Yeah right, he also guarded Bryant nearly the whole damn game and helped keep him under 20 pts.
Afflalo also missed 2 FT in the last minute, Nene blew a dunk, Fernandez bricked a 3... But it's all gallo'S fault... I guess being objective on a guy still playing on a rookie contract is too hard for you.

I wish we could play the Lakers and only lose on the last shot as they did, but I guess this is something you're not concerned about either.

But Childs2Dudley is right, Gallo is not on the team anymore, and we should let go and be more concerned by our own shortcomings instead of looking backward all the time...

That trade was stupid enough as it is, and may look plain ugly in 3 years fast enough.

Gallo is the only player in history of basketball to miss a potential game saving shot? That's ball, you won't make every last second shot.

I don't care how much you dislike a guy - if he's choking, you should perform the Heimlich Maneuver.

You should check the clips from the game today a deja vu but this time he made it (around 1:42 mark of the highlight vid).

Yes, but we have had an overage of Gee I Miss Gallo threads since he's been gone. Gallo-itis needs to be destroyed and removed from the UK consciousness ala the way all that DLee manlove has been successfully treated and removed.

Please allow threads like this to take their proper course.

Where is Chaos today now the Nuggests have beaten a laker team that included a domintating Bynum, with Gallo leading Denver in scoring and steals?

Nowhere as usual.

Those threads are indeed useless.
Overhyping a player (ie: each time Melo scores over 30) or putting him under the ground each time he plays bad (ie: melo against GSW) is just as useless.

Players are human beings, prone to make mistakes.
Sometimes they play well, sometimes not.
Some of them have more talent than others.
Some of them work harder than others.
Some are divas, some are good teammates.
etc.

Most of time, biased narrow minded fans make biased narrow minded posts that lead nowhere except to some short term ego boost... The ''I told you so syndrome'' if you will.

Truth is most of time not plainted in blacks or whites, but more in shadows of grey.

Let's just try to enjoy the game for what it is, since we missed it so much over the last few months.

Go Knicks. Go Nuggets. Go every freaking team that play good ball.

And oh, **** the Nets, just because, you know.

I never understood the Gallo hate. People are so heavy into stereotypes that they can't accept a good thing if it looks different. But Gallo is a nugget now, I wish him well but when they play the Knicks I have no issues with handing them their rear ends. I do miss his fighting spirit and awkward movement though.

I wish Gallo the best. Had no problem giving both him and Chandler up for Carmelo since all 3 are SFs. No question Denver got a good potentially great deal.

It goes both ways, man. After the trade there were a ton of Knuggets threads and bring back Gallo threads which was a bit annoying. Not to mention, those we were against the trade also started threads where they were calling Melo a Diva, hated the idea that he smiled on the court (imagine a grown man smiling while playing a game, the nerve of him; somebody smack Magic Johnson on the back of his head!) and pretty much nit-picked and ragged on Melo. I agree, I think its time to let it go and move on...both ways. I root for the Blue and Orange. Melo wears blue and orange so I root for him. Gallo no longer wears Blue and Orange so I could care less what he does...
