Some interesting things I see that are good to see.

Jorts with a solid game filling in for STAT. 38 mins, 12 rebs, and 14 pts. He did everything we drafted him to do plus scored. Good defense and smart offense. Love how Jorts gets a body on guys andgoes after the boards.

Tyson with only 24 mins. He has been committing some dumb fouls, which has to stop, but when he was in there and got going he made an impact. 10/10 at the line. Got his hands on a lot of balls.

TD actually got over his fear of the paint and penetrated. He looked for his teammates and we actually saw a PnR sighting tonight! He has to keep this up and keep showing court awareness. If he can do this then things should settle down a bit.

Fields also showed alot tonight. Jorts looked great - especially defensively.

Fields went back in time to a year ago lol. he was aggressive, smart and determined. If Fields plays like he did tonight like he did last year then our backcourt wont be as bad anymore

How about Melo with 5 assists and no Turnovers! TD with 8 assists and only 1 turnover! That combined with lots of good team ball movement was key.

He obviously does not play as well with both Amare and Melo. He is much better when the ball is moving - which it does less when they are both on the floor.

If Walker ever took his conditioning seriously he'd be really good. Guy just seems soft in the body and a bit overweight to me. You can see he's strong, but for a guard not to have a tight, cut and lean body seems a bit odd. Just seems like he's not in the best possible shape.

I think the biggest thing that I come away with is how well the Knicks group scouts. Jorts was not even a great college player . He had a great senior season but nothing that would make you think he could contribute to an nba team. Fields also was not on most draft boards after his senior season. I remember being frustrated with the team for not going with potential guys in both drafts or euros that would develop into great. I am so impressed with the guys that the Knicks were able to get with second round picks.

Walker got three straight assists to Fields on the same exact play in garbage time. Still, Bill has looked solid - he was the only bench player in double figures, along with the 5 starters.

Sac had better talent on the floor than we did.

Ball movement won the game.

Not slamming Amare, but he has been pressing.

What did we learn? Shoot 60% in first quarter and move the ball!

Sac was awful also.

its ok, its good for the role players to feel a win is theirs!

Ball movement has always been the key with this team. If Melo and Amare pass the ball, we win. When the take to many plays going one on one, we lose. This team has to much talent to be stopped when there is good ball movement.
Trust the Process

That was a return to dantoni style of basketball higher pace more threes and good scoring. If he is going to be the coach then this is it it wont be a grind more space open with amare less Knicks.

This. Jorts really looks like he can and should be part of the rotation and probably be STAT's primary backup.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
