...i clearly remember last year that dantoni had an equally awful start only to turn it around big time. that could happen here. true, that the point guard situation isnt great and our body language is awful but we have an easy road ahead for the next couople of weeks that we need to take advantage of. this will tell if this team is being coached well or not. we need momentum and once we have our bearings, we will see if we can beat teams that are playoff caliber. we will see the lakers in february so we have another shot. the second thing is that it is eerily familiar to the 99 knicks team when we started 0-4 in a more shortened season so anything can happen.

The difference between this yrs slow start and lasts, is we had a pg already in tow and just had to work out the pick-and-roll kinks with Amare. This year, out pg is 5 weeks away and when he does arrive, he will have to work out some kinks and get familiar with the team aswell. So we could be talking about 7-8 weeks before we see this team really start to gel and get some type of flow offensively.

I hate to say it, but this is even optimistic. Baron could come back, get reinjured as we've seen happen so many times before, or just not be the same player he was.

well. dantoni has to earn his check, period. he has two top 5 scorers in the league that are good in isolation. woodson dealt with the same type of lineup in atlanta, a squad with many iso players, so they can make it work. we have to see if it is just a slump or bad coaching. the next two weeks will see.

I must have missed the part where we turned it around big time!

Yes, I caution people depending on Baron to be the YOU TUBE Highlight Baron when he hasn't been played a full season since 09-10 season. When he was at Golden State he played two year full season (1 shortened season) and the other 3 season injured.

....meaning we started 3-7, i believe, and we made it to the playoffs whihc is something since we were labeled as a lottery team. maybe big time was an exaggerated but we turned things around.

We were 3-8 and won 15/16 game including 8 in a row. It was turned around for a bit until Felton and Wilson hit a wall. Then we dipped down to around .500 before the trade.

Look, people are going to be pissed as hell until the Knicks at least look like they are running some semblence an offense. STAT will not continue to miss wide open shots. This start reminds me a lot of last year but it is true we had the advantage of having a PG getting in the swing of things. On talent alone we should beat teams on our upcoming schedule. 2 months from now when Baron has been playing for a bit and we have our depth back this team is going to be top 4 in the east. Mark it down.

Stoudemire was also bad start of last year? Remember he was averaging like 5 TOs and 40% over the first few games?
