Even Mike Brown see's the major problem...
“They need a facilitator on the floor,” said Lakers Coach Mike Brown, who said the loss of Chauncey Billups — who was waived to make room for Chandler — “really hurts them.”
But, Brown added, “When you have a guy like Baron Davis sitting in the wings, their time will come, if he can get healthy.”
Douglas and Fields both scored 5, Bibby scored 2 and Walker 1. Thats pretty much tells the story. We have a 7th and 8th man starting in the our backcourt and both are out position as Douglas is an undersized 2 and Fields is an undersized 3. Our starting backcourt is injured right now (Davis and Shumpert) because of this I'm not ready to throw in the towel and start b###ing about chemistry, etc. Melo and Amare would look just fine if we had a pg who could get into the paint, create and get our bigs a few easy baskets. Not saying that Baron is the second coming of Magic, but he will make a huge difference.
With a legit pg, all of a sudden Chandler is a factor on offense and Amare will get 3-4 easy buckets per game as he did when he and Felton finally started clicking. Agian, fingers cross that Baron can be the facilitator that we desperately need, but its painfully obvious that our backkcourt is killing us. Melo, Amare and Chanlder pretty much have to get everything on thier own at this point...
