1.) Lin has the dribble and speed to get by his man (nice drive and dish to jordan at the end)
2.) Jerome Jordan is a mobile big man that needs a PASSING PG
3.) Chandler's 3reb performances arent gonna cut it
4.) We need to use Novak the way we used Shawne williams
5.) Douglas serves very little purpose on his team
6.) Amare needs to play to his strength, and play in the paint

I think I agree completely with this post, but have to mention that I think Chandler's performance will improve when we fix our offensive problems. Too many times we had terrible possessions where we lost the ball or failed to get a rebound and Tyson had to recover on defense and end up in foul trouble. People are too unorganized on O' and that translate to bad positioning on D' and a Chandler foul.

yea and chandler has been in foul trouble because our guards cant keep their guards from getting to the basket at will. Hopefully as all these things improve so will tyson's effectiveness

Until Baron Davis returns, Lin is our only player that can probably facilitate and most importantly penetrate.
The players we have dont have the skill sets needed to play a Dallas or Suns system.

TD's could take a lesson from Smith on penetration and PG duties.
Fields maybe trying to help create for others and himself at times.
Made some mistakes while attempting that lead back to 2 points the other way.
1 or 2 wasn't entirely his fault.

Chandler was very important to Dallas but they had players that played a system and understood the game plan on both ends.
He needs a 2nd enforcer and to me Amare doesn't have the footwork/speed needed. He lets the defender come by and goes for the blocks at times.
But good things happen when u constantly let players to penetrate that way.

Chandler anchored that defense, but a lot of players deserve credit.
Dirk was a big part of the defense, with Marion. Even Barea n Kidd, actually most of the players really deserve a bit.
Stat doesn't have the speed, footwork that Dirk has. The closest person we have is Jared Jeffries.
However, JJ is hurt, and is miles away offensively from Dirk. Dirk is actually a way better with rebounder, length, and speed/footwork.

Marion, Melo can be a good rebounder, but he is quite far away from Marion.
Melo is trying but they are 2 totally different players.

Barea, he stays in front of everyone and slows them down, while limiting their moves and allowing help to come.

Kidd and Terry both actually played very well and neither are known as defenders at their ages.

Chandler, last night, was always in the wrong position for a rebound. This happened because he was always trying to help the defense when the opposing PGs consistently drove to the basket without much resistance from TD or Bibby. Tyson is not the problem. If he rotates then Amare has to clean up the boards. Dirk had monster rebounding numbers last year because he knew to clean up after Tyson.

Lin and Jerome Jordan should definitely get more time. Lin for his attributes already mentioned here and Jerome Jordan because he looks like he has better feet than Jorts and is much taller. I would play Jorts and Jerome depending on the opponent. For physical teams like Boston, I would play Jorts. For a fast front line, I would play Jerome.

Agree on Chandler and spacing issues on defense.
To early to call anything on Lon and JJ4, except right now I would sign up for a shadow of Duhon over TD. Problem is I think MDA will persist with TD over Lin, because of his 3pt shooting. If that happens ( I hope it doesn't) then I will have question MDA's decision making as well.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I think MDA's decision making has been put into question a long time ago.

Yes indeed it has and mostly unfairly in my opinion. I am not one to grasp at "evidence" of MDA intentionally not playing TD, Hill and AR when they "obviously deserved" to play. I think those accusations are baseless construed on personal interpretation of circumstantial evidence and not supported by facts.

On the plus side- Bill Walker looked okay. I liked him when he first got traded to us, then he followed it up with a disappointing season. This year he looks like he's lost weight, probably motivated due to it being a contract year- I like him, I hope he has a good year.

Fields looks like he's slowly making his way back from the tentative player he became after the Melo trade. He has flashes of being agressive, but then seems to revert back, like he did in the second half- we need him to break out of it permanently. Though he seems to have lost the ability to rebound.

Jorts looked beyond terrible- hope he gets over these rookie nerves quickly, because we have no back up PF.
