Im sorry but this Douglas at PG experiment simply won't cut it. It has failed before, is failing again and will simply fail. This team can't keep playing with an unorganized offense and expect to keep itself in the playoff picture before Baron comes back.

It wont happen.

I know some of you will put this Warriors game as simply a bad game, but it isn't. For two games we've already seen how vital it is to have good PG play to run this offense. We look like a mess offensively. There is no ball movement. Nobody knows what to do once they bring the ball down the floor. We got a Melo miracle against Celtics and the D came back again, but tonight, we failed offensively each and every time, which then got our players so down they didn't even cared for defense.

I can't see this team having a good record with the PG play they have right now. Eight weeks in this crazy schedule can really hurt our playoff chances.

Douglas, Bibby and Lin won't just cut it. Make a trade?

as overvalued as I think he is, I would phone Cleveland and beg them to take TD nad bag full of cash for Ramon Sessions

As much as I value Douglas and wish he stayed with us when the team finally gets healthy, Im really afraid this team can't wait 8 weeks to get its starting PG back. In this shortened season, we need to find a solution to the PG mess and if that means trading Douglas, thats something that has to be considered.

I know it sounds desperate, but right now who do we have to really run the offense? Bibby and Lin? Bibby proved tonight he is no savior and is better off playing limited minutes. Lin just got here.

Sessions is a good thought but I dont see Cleve making Sessions available until Kyrie Irving turns it up and shows he's capable of running the show. TJ Ford was a guy I was hoping the Knicks would snatch up as a FA...Isn't much else out there, though. Jamal Tinsley?! Here's to Baron davis getting healthy quick.

I was thinking Sessions, because if the Knicks include $3 million, it is possible that the Cavs would profit on the transaction. You're right though... it makes little basketball sense until Kyrie proves himself

Doesn't have to be necessarily a trade. But roles need to be tweaked. The Douglas experiment has to end. Bibby and Lin need to play a lot and prove their worth. Melo needs to show his leadership in keeping the team focused, especially defensively. Tyson needs to stay on the floor in order to lead the defense too.

Bibby looked gassed in his minutes out there. Hopefully he'll get in better shape. He runs the offense ok, but his defense, hustle plays, and inability to grab loose balls is a major liability, as the constant doubleteaming of his man created openings and got GS into a rhythm.

Lin can play both offense with his vision and penetration and excellent defense, and is great on loose balls and hustle plays (he grabbed a loose ball and made a nice drive and dish in his couple of minutes on the floor already). He did chuck up an ugly first shot, but I think that was a one-time thing for the GS fans. Lin's the best bet from what I've seen, and we really need to give him minutes to see what he can do. I'm willing to bet if he gets minutes he will show that he is better than all these guys we want to trade for.

I like TD as a temporary backup--at least he doesn't turn the ball over and gives better defensive effort than Bibby, but the problem is that he never makes a play (penetration and dish) either and doesn't seem to be a defensive stopper.

I think it does have to be a trade. I don't think anyone on the roster can provide what is needed. I don't think the Knicks need a stud either. Just someone serviceable

So much for combo guards. People are so enamoured with TD as a solid contributor off the bench and on defense. The GS guards penetrated at will, yes his defense was slightly better than Bibby's big whooped do. And his so called offense was nonexistent. I am embarrassed to see this guy wear a Knicks uniform.

Watching the game last, it was GLARINGLY obvious that NY could not set up any offense. They could not penetrate the paint and everything was a jump shot. Yes, a BD can hopefully solve that. However, isn't MDA supposed to be an offensive genius? It was clear to see in the 1st quarter that Melo and STAT could not buy a basket from the outside. Why didn't they run some sets to get them going inside? Why not get Chandler involved offensively?

Bibby was somewhat effective but he cannot penetrate. Why is Rondo so good? Why did ISH Smith and Ellis give nY trouble? They all can Penetrate the lane at will.

I like TD but with Shumpert, he is now a redundant piece. If they can get a penetrating PG for him, I'd do it.

THe next step is to see what LIN can do. He looked lost last night but that was to be expected.

Lin looked better in his minutes than anything we had showed before at PG.

I had the same reaction. I've only seen highlights of Lin and 90 seconds of him as a Knick but I was already thinking he might be our best PG.

The second time Lin touched the ball, he penetrated and dished it off to jordan for the dunk (jordan was fouled on the play) but thats exactly what we need

I would be happy to trade TD regardless of his poor play at PG. He's a low IQ guy and not athletic enough to justify his downside. Haven't liked him from day one. We REALLY need a replacement at the 1 right now.

And even with Davis in, we still need a quality backup PG. Bibby is better suited as a third string PG and Shumpert will be a SG for us, so moving TD for a quality backup PG like Sessions would be a good investment down the road.

Guys you won't get a quality backup PG for TD. Mainly because TD is not a quality NBA player. As much as he is overvalued on this board no other NBA GM will trade a second string PG for TD unless we throw in cash or something else.

What evidence points you to the conclusion that Shumpert will be a shooting guard?
