YEAH I KNOW ITS ONLY TWO GAMES INTO THE SEASON, BUT...
Is the balance of power changing quite a bit?
LAL – That other team in LA will be better when Bynum returns but how long can Bynum play? He won’t last all season. Kobe isn’t getting younger and most importantly no PJAX. The Lakers look to follow the Spurs in the decline mode? (2.5 Stars)
DAL - They were already one of the older teams and gave up the core of their defense in Chandler and second best ball handler and have Lamar Odom and gimpy kneed half amazing to show for it. Can Dirk carry them throughout the season? They seem low on scoring options after Dirk and Terry. (1.5 Stars)
MIA - they have started taking SSOL to a new level. Seems to be high risk high reward approach. Lebron is a beast but can Wade really keep this up through a compacted season? One injury can set them back by years. It looks like their entire offense is predicated on fast breaks - well something might just break. An ankle perhaps? And they still have no bigs. (4 Stars)
LAC - The most exciting team in the league? They have two starting QBs (one is a future HOF-er the other has hardware) and the best wide receiver tandem in the league. Again injury risk seems high and defense will be suspect. (4 stras)
BOS - Phuck the little green men. They are done - Ray Allen is still scary though(2.5 Stars)
CHI - I was expecting them to come out firing they looked somewhat flat. Rose will push them to the hilt but do the others have the same level of motivation? I just don't see them beating the Heat if the Heat keep doing what they are doing. (3 Stars)
NY – The Knicks are in the discussion about the balance of power in the NBA! Wait…………….what? We should definitely make the top four in the East and while it’s still early days can we agree that the ghost of Isiah has been exorcised? (3 stars)
Any other notables doing a 180 degree?
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
