This is is the kinda of package I was talking about.
Denver has a lot of SF that can play the position Chandler does, some rookies, and young players, he is expendable and it depends if he is looking to accept a QO*sign of leaving*
What is his value, if we can't get a sign and trade for Chandler? I assume his value would be less if its for a QO?
We have assets that become that we can trade by the deadline.
He and MozGoV, were 2 players I never wanted to part with, especially the way they got devalued.
Fields is a UFA, so it makes sense to trade him, I am not fond of using the MLE to keep him in the summer.
If Jorts continues to develop and is our first backup PF/C off our bench, he would be very attractive for a deal, however, I really don't want to part with him.
We don't have a player to make up for what he does, we have to see where he stands, and progress as the season goes on.
A first round pick, Balkman *maybe will have value, depending on how he does and not a "bad contract".
Walker would be a throw in. TD has some value, I really would like to keep him as well, I hope a package of 1st round pick, Fields, Walker, Balkman, and Jordan is the most we give up.
Wilson Chandler, I miss his versatility, however, the SF is his true natural position, while SG/PF, he can play limited minutes at.
I think he can go hot/cold too, he can be streaky offensively, but he does have more weapons than Fields.
With his size he has a nice mid range game, mixed with the ability to drive/penetrate, I hope he has a gained a better handle, and his post up game.
Most importantly, he understood is a player that was starting the understand the SSOL.
I don't think anyone wants to part with Jorts, it will be tough if they include MozGov in though.
We would have their bird rights which means we could go over the cap to sign them, without using any of our exemptions.
However, it will be tough to watch him guard the SG's with speed/quickness and range.
Like Fields, they just both have that quickness, Chandler is stronger, more athletic, and longer.
If Baron Davis is back healthy, I think he can play offensively better. He has the size to grab the rebounds/help defense that we missed
Teams that are under the cap, have players that aren't happy there.
However, a question is, how much do we trade for a qualifying offer player or can he still be sign and trained?
Below, are some players that may be dealt and besides Walker, could have value, depending on how they progress, but not looking to part with all
It depends on what we have to give up and how our players look, I see New Orleans, Cleveland, and Wizards, as ideal trading partners that have players we can target.
Having package is mainly built around: 1st round pick/Fields
1st Round Pick
Fields
Balkman
Walker
Jordan/Jorts *dont want to give him up, backup PF/C, RBer, Shooter, if they gave back MozGoV at us, tough call*
TD *dont want to part with him either, I feel 3 1/2 PGs is needed for this dreadful season, and majority of the times we will have 2.5, with 1 probably hurt/injured*
Having 2 Chandlers in the league, with Chandler Parsons being the last Chandler but as his first name, would be cool
