Wonder if the Kings will sign him?

Knicks offered him the full MLE at the beginning of the season - might be worth it to offer him the Room exception now. Teams might be scared off by the Kings prognosis.

Regardless - glad he's been cleared. I like his game and it was a shame to think he would miss a year or more.

whats his story? I like him alot. Reminds me of a stronger Malik Rose and thats a compliment. He would look great in the 2nd unit backing up Amare/Chandler. Very smart player.

It is Hayes' preference to return to the Kings, who previously voided his four-year, $21M contract, source says.

Sounds like Hayes wants to go back to the Kings, but it's unclear if they want him back. Though they did get left at the altar by Sammy Dalembert, so they might need him.

I would LOVE to have him for 2.5 million for 1 year but Im pretty sure a team will out bid us.

He don't want to be here so let him sign somewhere else. We don't need to beg this dude to play here!

Would have loved it if we found a way to bring Hayes to NY, but that is a classy move by Sacramento. Happy for both parties involved.

did we have a full MLE at the start of free agency?

IF we "check in again" how do we pay him?

he's signing with Sacramento. but, yes, before we amnestied Chauncey, we were over the cap and did have the full MLE to offer him. believe we offered a one year deal.
