If you read my post carefully I said that If Allan Houston goes down then Frank can be the backup SG for Van Exel. No way was I suggesting that FW would get playing time with H20 and Van Exel in the rotation.

I'm for this trade now but doesn't it worry you guys that Dampier has stunk his entire career except for that one year which was problably his contract year? He's having a great year this year but it's his contract year. I'll take a shot on him, but i just hope we gell real fast!

Yep, he has to find a way to make this deal happen if he wants to see Rasheed Wallace become a Knicks this summer. If we can get Dampier and Van Exel, then all of a sudden we are back in the race to win the East.

Even with no nore trades I'm happy with the Knicks.....at least for this year.

Its over... Hats off to Isiah though for trying to pull off another miracle trade. I still feel confident that we are contenders with the team we have now, though Dampier and Van Exel both would have been nice.

No trade is better than a bad trade I suppose...

Yea that happens sometimes, but when a trade is announced at 6 usually there is a lot of talk before the deadline ends that the trade is going to happen. In this case, it was all quiet, there was nothing about the Knicks and the Warriors coming closer to a deal. We should know for sure in a little bit.

the knicks cant make any more trades with east conference teams, but they can with western conference teams since they're 3 hours behind...this making the deadline at 6, and the deal still in the works.

--Good points. Thats what I originally believed. Glad they didn't get him now Although Van Exel being included made it very tempting.
