Those fool Nyets will get the living hell stomped out of them. Again.

Here's to hoping that we'll see the Knicks beat NJ like Miami whupped Orlando the other day.

GO KNICKS!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Players out for NYK:
Add Jared Jeffries (sore right calf) to list
along with Baron Davis (back) and Bill Walker (groin).

I want to see more positives from the Balkanator. Really don't want to see him replace Jeffries if possible. But not holding my breadth, he has disappointed before.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

You mean you want him to replace Jeffries?

GO KNICKS!

Shump picks Deron twice in the same quarter this time [two sick dunks this time, one gets him a T when he leaves the rim and hangs off the top of the backboard]

Knicks by 20.

DHoward starts wondering about the brilliance of spending a huge portion of his career on the Brooklyn Borshts

I hope Balkman can take most of, if not all of, Jefferies minutes. Balkman is not much of an offensive player, but he can at least make a layup, which is something Jeffries struggles to do. Just not sure Balkman can play the center spot for us effectively.

What are reasonable goals from this game?

Obviously, with compressed pre-season and all the new faces, every opportunity to compete before it counts is crucial. Here's what I want to see tonight:

* Starting back court getting their sh** together. They need minutes with the starters and need to get their feet under them
* Some semblance of a rotation starting to come together. We need the second unit to be defined and to log some minutes and to learn their roles
* Melo as point forward -- everyone getting used to the sets, getting into the sets early in the shot clock
* Defensive cohesion starting to come together. I want to see the team taking advantage of Chandler by getting up on their guys and funnelling driving players toward the help

A lot to ask for, but I didn't see much of any of that in game 1, and the sooner we get it together, the fewer ugly early season losses.

I just want to see a healthy, free-flowing game and the Knicks dropping 130 points. Is this too much too much? I don't think so.

What will the Knicks average this year? I think 119 points per game.

I'd LOVE to see that happen; it would make my night! I heard Shump's interview yesterday and he's been practicing lobs, so he will be ready to contribute to this team becoming "Lob City East", and is good enough to start (at the 1 or 2) soon.

Dwight Howard should already see that he's closer to going (back) to the Finals with is Orlando team than starting over in NJ/Brooklyn, and playing in that DooDoo-tinted Barclays Center. (The building is literally DooDoo brown, which is descriptive of that team in general. A Doodoo team belongs in a DooDoo building.)

LMMFAO @ "Brooklyn Borshts"...

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and can't believe that the damn Nyets are polluting my borough. I walked past that abomination and spit on it. lol

DWill would be better off signing with Orlando as a free agent next summer. That way he gets to play alongside Dwight, and be in a MUCH better situation where they can compete or a title faster.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I hope MDA plays Shumpert at point for a quarter. I am interested to see what he can do.

Jets Mets Nyets. All provide the very prototypical definition of red-headed stepchildren to their credible counterparts. No wonder their fanbases are so irritable and touchy (props to Mr. Favre for his contributions to that end). BTW, did Jenn Sterger ever make the Alba tourney?

The Shumpert hype is building to epic proportions. The most rabidly faithful are on the radio calling him the next DWade, a career kiss of death if I've ever heard one.

Let the boy play. He's a bright shiny star waiting to happen. He could also be the next Gerald Wilkins for all we know.

Balk is a offensive force...compare to jj who hasn't notch 20 pts in 82 games combine

Balk is an offensive force?? since when, after 1 pre-season game?

He's a more reliable contributor on the offensive end than JJ but that isn't saying much as we all know.

I'd rather take Jeffries' charges and hustle on Defense over Balkman, who has yet to show any consistency.
