What with Amare's bad back, Tyson Chandlers past foot injuries, Carmelo's bummed knee and Baron's herniated disc we should call these folks the Ailing Amigos. Or maybe the Injured Resevere Rangers? How about Codeine Quartet?

Hey Im hoping as much as the next guy that the Knicks actually do something this year, but our reliance on these old guys with their injuries is troubling. Heck, they drink more metamucil now than gatorade.

There was talk of us adding McDyess. Please guys, lets stop that. We need to add some younger healthy guys with potential. If we make that aforementioned move it could possibly lead to a world shortage of aleve and knee braces. Let's just say no to more geezers please.

STAT's back is fine, Chandler has a bog toe problem, MELO is fine and Davis will be fine. All players get hurt at one time or another, personally I'm not worried at all.

During this season, if we rely on them too much, they will break down. We need quality reserves to share their minutes. Mark my words.

You know injuries do heal. Also the more good players you have the less stress you put on each player. No one player will have to overexert themselves to help this team win. Basically everyone can play at a more stress free level. As it is, there are a good amount of young players on the team. Iman, TD, Jorts, Jordan, Walker etc. But that's not the point of this team right now. This is what it looks like when you are in WIN NOW MODE. You add experienced players that can get it done. Also despite the injury history, this teams stars are younger than the Celtics Big 3 when they got together. 27, 28, 29 and 32 is just right in terms of going for a title.

We have a decent bench. I know MDA loves the short rotation but this season is a sprint. I think all 12 spots are going to get run this year. Don't worry, you'll feel much better come playoff time.

This isn't another topic that you post so you can go back to it if something bad happens is it? I think Amare learned his lesson with his back. He obviously is very serious about taking care of it. I know that Tyson's toe was a big concern two years ago but I haven't heard anything about it in awhile. Baron might be a guy to be concerned with simply because he is older and has a reputation of not always being in shape. However, the Knicks have almost nothing invested in him. If he is able to play he is a huge upgrade and a great pick up. If he isn't able to get back he is a vet minimum contract that expires at the end of the year.

I'm tempted to bump the thread from February where I first observed that Lin's knee was troubling him.

Glad I have all those "JR's going to blow up" threads tucked away.

Now where did I put those "MDA's not going to work out in NYC" threads from 2008?

OK so STAT's back is not fine, Melo pulled his groin & BD has a bad hammy. At least Chandler is healthy
