Earl eats in my restaurant often. He was there last night so I asked him a couple of questions about the Knicks.
He said: Josh Harrelson is not 6-10. NO way. Said hes about the same height as the kid from Stanford.
I asked if he had seen Jerome Jordan he said no.
ONly other thing of note was our discussion about the Heat. He said Eddy Curry was supposed to have lost weight. I busted out laughing. I said have you seen him? He's not in game shape and is still 300+. He said yeah but if he can return to being a good player like when he was on the knicks...
I shook my head. Eddy Curry is not even practicing right now. He's not even scrimmaging. I said we are not worried about Eddy Curry in the least. He doesn't want to play. He made alot of money and could get in shape to make more. The guy does not want to be a basketball player and the heat are desperate.
He said I hope ur right. ONe thing about Earl, he never says anything negative about any of the players. Never. I spoke to him a bunch of times last year about the trade with Melo (b4 it happened) and guys like Joe Johnson getting max deals. And how so many guys these days are not skilled players and lack discipline. He never has a negative word to say. He is a smooth guy who is a total class act. Me on the other hand, I'm a maniac.
