I thought Evans was going to the Celts. If he is available the Knicks should offer him their 2.5 mil exception. A frontline of Melo, Amare, Tyson, Evans and Jorts would be the beastiest since Mase, Oak, Ew and fill ins ( X, Duds, Herb, Bonner, Smith). There is a place for smashmouth ball and Reggie Evans would be a great pickup. If your frontline is that dominant you can with a Bibby, Douglas tandem at the point. Also, Bibby looked great today. He should get the start on 12/25.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

AK47, anyone know when does Euro League end?
Peja
Ariza

the big drop off from Murphy, out of no where, just scares me.
Troy was once a great player, but a lot of players in that range 32, just drop off.
Not all do, but I don't know if he is in the same category.

Knowing we need a 3 point shooter, Peja is a quality player as well.
Iman is going to be playing the PG and he is going to be using the pick and roll.
With Tyson Chandler setting the screens half the time.
Is Amare's man going to cheat?
Is Melo's man going to cheat?
Is Peja's man going to cheat? <<this is the type of player we need in certain situations, a player capable of getting his shot off but a team player first.

With that said, Iman will have a step, and with that size, its hard for a regular PG to keep up without help.
With Chandler cutting in, its just sick.
We can cause so many mismatches....

Travis Outlaw was a long shot, I wondered how much he actually got payed.
Looks like Garcia is out the window, he looked like a pretty good player 3 years ago.
But I don't know if hes entering the stage, where I don't want to touch.

Ak47, can lead you with, steals, rebounds, blocks, and steals. Plays 3,4,5, with PF probably his most comfortable position or Center if his 2nd squad opponent is weak.
He is another high IQ player, most players that play in Utah and San Antonio, have that mentality, we could use.
Players that are passed their prime, need that high IQ in them to make up for it.
Mentally they also have to accept and play a different role when called upon.

I would hoping Fields would come out strong, instead Balkman looks like he did.
With Chandler in the middle, Amare, and Melo drawing attention, it makes players better than they actually are.
With Fields being a UFA, or a player we have to use the MLE to keep I would look to package him for a player that can contribute for us in the 2/3.
To me, Fields isn't starting material, I have said it in the past. He doesn't have the speed and ability to shoot or attack the basket. He doesn't have the strength
to guard all stars in the shooting guard or small forwards. However, he can play well vs 2nd unit players.
I am looking to pump and then dump him for the best value if we can, if not, we will most likely have to let him walk this off season.

Ideally, that player we keep would have to be able to keep his bird rights, and I would like a player that is young and athletic enough for 3 years.
Being able to extend the player without using our exceptions in the next couple of years.
I would like to be able to use the MLE for 2 seasons in a row, so we have to be under 70ish mill.
Whether we are looking for quality, quantity, role players to spread, 2 way players with DEFENSE first and scoring 2nd, or shooting first defense 2nd, the GM will have to decide.
But we need a little bit of all the above. Which players can we attain that are consistent with the veteran min should dictate which route we should trade for.
TD is still a useful player, I think he has to learn to be like Terry with better defense. He played his best games, playing that role, last year, most importantly he was comfortable.
We have to be able to utilize the strengths of our players and maximize their abilities.
On top of it, the players must understand their roles and be able to adjust to their expectations and roles.

This way, we don't have to worry about him falling off physically, like I have to worry about with Crawford at his age.
He is not a high IQ player, he is a player that uses his length and athleticism.
Iman, Ariza, and Chandler will be our center of DEFENSE used to anchor our schemes.
This is the trio used to guard the HEAT, Thunder, or majority of any trios that will form.
Think about it, give it some thought, teams will have a hard time scoring with that trio and will use a lot of energy just trying.
Now with Ak47, TD, Jorts or Chandler, being our 2nd units of defense...

I called out Chandler last year and said he would be our best possible option this year.
I called out Iman will be our starting PG and "star" of our future and its starting to show.
I know my Knicks and I know players games, TRUST ME, whoever, is GM or scouting for the Knicks.
GET ME THESE PLAYERS!
