Didn't see this mentioned yet. He has a heart condition and will rquire immediate surgery. Sorry to hear this, hope he fully recovers. Celtics don't want another Reggie Lewis situation. On the other hand, anything that weakens the Celtics is good for us!

it is such bad timing, he was looking to have a such a bright future 2-3 years ago.
I read since he failed the physical test with this heart condition, his contract gets voided as well.
This was the year he was suppose to make a nice contract.
This can change it all up, I hope he rehabs, and comes back well.

I prefer him being in the west coast though and not against the Knicks.

Man that is horrible. It's just great that they found the problem before it caused a critical health problem. I hope he recovers just as Ronny was able to recover and resume his career.

What is ironic is that the reason they didn't resign West (was it?) was because they were worried about his health!
Too bad, wish the guy the best. Hopefully it's not too serious, though with surgery immediate, makes you wonder.
