Good centers are becoming increasingly rare... I wouldn't build a team around him, but I would Amar'e/Melo, so yes, Chandler is worth every penny on this team

I targeted Chandler for years, I was hoping we were going to land him this year.
At the time I was thinking of our old core

Felton/TD
Gallo/Fields
Chandler/Williams
Amare/Williams/JJ
Mosgov/1st rounder

and that is why Dwight Howard is worth every penny and the farm...

Pau
Bynum

might be a lot for Dwight Howard
but
Dwight is a lot for anyone to handle

if Lakers don't have to take back BAD contracts like Duhon and Q Richardson or just 1 of em vs Tukeglu

they could all restructure their deals with Kobe
and have some money to use in FA next year.

I am thinking Orlando wants to give

Dwight
Turk
Q or Duhon

for

Bynum
Pau

If I am Lakers, I wouldn't want to take back Q or Duhon, unless Turk is out of the equation and only for Q.
I also wouldn't part with any 1st round picks with those 2 big boys.

that would be a tough one, cause then they would be capped out?
They would have to use their exemption from Odom this year on a couple players or Kris Humphries.
Ak47 to replace Odom's role.

With Dwight and Kobe, it shouldn't be too hard to build around, given that Kobe can restructure his deal and Odom's exemption could come be handy...
like exemption for Chandler with 1st round pick with Denver

Big push for Nets to get Howard otherwise (read this somewhere) they need to consider trading Deron.

Is Deron as valuable as Paul in a trade? I would think so. Bigger and healthier. Not the "Name" but perhaps a better investment longer term.

Nets then have to drop back and start over.

I'd like to see Howard/Deron combo in Brooklyn.

Nets success or failure has nothing to do with Knicks. Knicks gotta do what they got to do.

All golden age has strong rivals. I doubt Nets can become a multi year winner and dominate as the Bulls did.

If it is not the Nets, its gonna be someone else.

For sure would rather see the Nets win than the Heat.

It would hilarious if the Nets traded Deron Williams to Clippers for the package that the Hornets turned down.
