Anybody know whats up with him? He was the one I thought we'd end up with for slightly less than CHandler. I never imagined Tyson was even an option for us. Miami can't pay him so I'm happy about that.

Nene is still out there too.

i think dalembert is waiting on nene, who is probably waiting on dwight (esp re: NJ). and to a lesser extent marc gasol.

once memphis matches on marc gasol, houston will prob make the same offer it made marc gasol to nene and then new jersey/denver will up their offers, etc. seemed like new jersey was gonna sign nene but then held off while the dwight stuff played out.

i could see dalembert going to houston or denver after nene signs in NJ.

I wonder what is rest the market value for these remaining biggs price set at? Are there teams still willing to pay big money?
Hibbert and McGee will look to cash in after seeing the prices of

A- defender
T. Chandler - one of the best defenders with experience/veteran after DH, with great size, length, quick, and athletic for his size. Lead Dallas's defense and great, team mate, and locker room presence.

Gasol B+ overall game, moves very well for someone his size, and unlike most Euro center's, loves to bang and plays with contact. And like most Euro's fundamentally sound.

Deandre Jordan A- defender with big upside, not done improving and learning

However, these guys are in slightly under bracket.

B+
Nene PF/C better known on offense, with great athleticism.

B-
Dalembert - long, athletic, skinny, and runs well for his size. Good help defender, shot blocker, and defender. Lacks motor at times, can be a double double threat with blocks when he tries.

C+
Kris Humphries, his first double double season last year.
Showed significant numbers when given the playing time.
However, is undersized, closer to a rugged PF, that boxes out, rebounds, and decent stroke for size.

Nene just agreed to a 5 year, $67M deal with the Denver Nuggets.

That's one less player that the Nyets can get. They're going to get desperate soon. Other teams that Dwight Howard would sign with have better trade assets than NJ anyway. They can try and get Dalembert there, but signing him won't keep Deron Williams from breaking camp this summer.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I don't know, he's said that he'll only sign an extension with the Nets, Lakers, Mavs, or Magic. I can't see anything the Dallas has to trade for Dwight which would leave LA or Nets. At that point what do you like better: the immature and perpetually injured Bynum or soft, not as good as everyone thinks Brook Lopez?

Now that the nyets have proven veteran Shelden Williams, and soon the entire country of Russia as a wholly owned subsidiary, how could Dwight say no?

I actually want Dwight to get traded/signed with the Nets. I want a rivalry and it would be fun to beat up on Superman every year.

Other teams like the Lakers and the Mavs (if the Mavs were serious about getting D12). Lopez and some draft picks for the Best center in the NBA? I think not, and seemingly Orlando sees it the same way. That's why the Nets trying to get additional assets and/or bring another team into the deal.

You already know how much I hate the Nyets, Killa. Ain't a damn thing changed.

I know what LA has to trade, and it really isn't any better than what the Nets have, but what does Dallas have that Orlando would want? They're not trading Dirk and after him what's left?

The LAL doesn't want to trade both Bynum and Pau, but they have other players of higher value that the Nyets do. In addition to that, the Lakers have the $9M trasde exception that they traded Lamar Odom for (that Dallas got from us in the Ty Chandler S&T), and that's also a valuable asset.

I understand where you are coming from, and such a rivalry would be interesting. However, I would find it much more pleasurable to see the Nyets crash and burn while the Knicks make a title run with a contending team.

There are players that Dallas could trade, but IMHO,they would be better off staying in Dallas. THey just won a chip there., so they should try to keep the remaining players on that team together. I'm actually surprised that they'd even be in the running for Dwight, but he's definitly an upgrade from Ty Chandler, and would be more than enough to fill the void left by Chandler's departure.

I don't know, when I look at that roster I see four trade assets: Kobe (untouchable), Bynum (huge injury risk), Gasol, and the trade exception. And everything I've read says that the trade exception is too small to take back Hedo's contract. Unless the deal includes Bynum and Gasol, I don't see why LA has better trade assets.

I'm looking at the Dallas roster and just don't see it. They have Dirk and a bunch of role players; all of whom, except Beaubois, are over the age of 30. Orlando could probably get a better package from the Clippers or Warriors to rent Dwight for a year.
