so we paid Tyson Chandler more than Marc Gasol?

Its only 3 million more total over 4 years but Why didn't we offer that to Marc Gasol?

And Chandler is a better fit for what we need, which is rebounding, shot-blocking, and defensive intensity.

most likely because the knicks knew memphis would match and didn't want to risk tyson signing with another team in the meantime.

plus, tyson fits this team better, since we don't really need gasol's scoring. tyson is a better defender and rebounder.

because Chandler wanted to come here. Hey, seeing him in the media day video, he looks like a Knick. Not everyone can pull that off but we have a few players now that seem like true Knicks.
