What do you think about RIP coming here on the cheap? He's 33, but seems to keep himself in prime shape.

PPG	APG	RPG	PER
14.1 3.1 2.3 15.83

He seems to still have some game left.

I'd love for the Knicks to sign Rip. He is a leader and a good player.

It'd be a solid pickup.
I'm still looking at options at point before anything, but if we're playing Iman at the 1 more than 2, I'd be content with Rip at SG.

Good point. Rip could be leading the boycott of the twenty minute D'Antoni practices.

Yes to Rip but he seems like a crybaby. It's the reason Detroit waived him.

I wouldn't mind Rip. I'd like him even more if played PG tho.

Rip is kind of a lock to go to the Bulls.

so much for Billups reuniting with RIP.

Rip is a mid range shooter, at his age, i rather play Fields with more size. A lot of it depends who will be our starting PG.
For instance if Shumpert is the guy, you would want at least a great 3 point threat at the 2.
He doesn't seem to be the same player since Detroit went downhill after Billups/Wallace left.

I thought we had a MLE to use, but I am hearing we lose it, unless Billup's somehow gets traded and not amnestied.
Since he is back in Denver anyway, I wonder if there's a chance they can just trade for him.
In return, we also take back Harrington off their books, sending in fillers of scrubs as well.
Let them get the most ping pong balls for the #1 pick of this draft.

I highly doubt they will do us any favors, especially with their entire squad gone from last year.
They actually made out on us from the trade but didn't extend their own players.
They might as well left us Chandler or gave us Nene to use for a year if they were gonna do this...

I would rather get half amazing to back up Melo and play some 2. forget about Shunpert guys, MDA won't play a rookie in a starting position off the bat, he will have to earn it in practice and make TD look like a chump.

Wait...didn't Fields start in his rookie year?

Wow. Would like Rip as a Knick; kind of the mid-range shooting version of Reggie Miller, always moving, always finding openings, a pain in the neck to defend. Unlike Reggie, he's played PG for stretches, allowing for a less-than-pure PG to run the team.

I wonder how much D'Antoni & the coaching staff have seen of Shumpert, and his potential to get significant burn as a rookie.

Touché! Wasn't picking on MDA, just don't see Iman being some super starter from day 1.
Not feeling it.

Yeah. Moz started 14 games out of the 63 he was a Knicks. 9 starts were in the first eleven games. He also sat for almost two months without getting off the bench until Amare got hurt and Shawne got suspended.
