Just a thought. It looks like the League can't trade CP3 without having backlash for a trade. That trade to the Lakers was a joke considering it would have been another gift to the Lakers. I know that it is vital for the Western conference to have the Lakers winning all the time. But this deal was in my opinion very lopsided. In favor of the Lakers. Any trade involving CP3 will be met with conspiracy. So would it be best interest of the league to let CP3 have amnesty.

He isn't going to report to the team now. Even if he stays a hornet he will leave as a FA. Just think out of the box. I know it won't happen what if.. I need my morning coffee fast.

He will be traded either before the season starts or shortly after that. It will most likely be a revised version of this trade with the Lakers giving up just a bit more. IMO, CP3 is a Laker at the end of the season.

the league want the lakers to give up more in this trade.....but chris paul getting amnestied? Jared jeffries has a better chance at making the all star team

I agree with you at the end of the day CP3 will be a Laker but the league has to make sure that the Lakers have to pay through their nose for CP3 I want picks included in the deal. So as to block a possible Howard trade. Now Howard is going to ask for a trade to the Nets at least the Nets will give up a lot to get him.

yea if it were the knicks they'd make sure we'd be giving up the following picks 2012 1st rd, 2013 1st rd & 2nd rd, 2014 2nd rd, 2015 2nd rd, 2016 1st rd & 2nd rd

the original deal is tough... leaves the Laker's frontcourt too thin to win a title IMO, but hey. If they make LAL give up more picks and cash to NO then cool
