If the Knicks complete the signing of Tyson Chandler and amnesty Chauncey Billups, can Billups holdout until he rejoins the Knicks at the veteran minimum?

Two more questions: 1) Does getting amnestied mean the player doesn't get his money? In that case, he'd never do us any favors. 2) How does the timing of all this work? I assume we have to amnesty Billups first and then if the deal falls through with Chandler, we're totally screwed.

1. No. Players get their money it just doesn't count against the cap.
