I don't think there's any chance the Knicks pull out of this deal. I think the only holdup is trying to trade Turiaf. They need to find a trade partner for Turiaf to clear cap space. I think they realize that dealing with NOH and Stern by extension is not a good thing. This is the clear path now. Put this frontcourt together which IMO would be the best in the East and perhaps the League. Then go find a PG and go try to win a title.

Yea the Knicks held out some hope and then they went and spent their cap space to get a final solution at C. That says to me that they aren't playing fantasy BB anymore. This is real now. I actually prefer this path in that we get to keep our young guys and don't completely gut the team again. They can use their MLE and Bi Annual exception. This team will be a title contender THIS YEAR if they make this deal.

Knicks aren't stupid. If Stern vetoed the LA trade he will certainly veto a NY trade. In any case Chris Paul is still going to get traded. At least now the other owners know New Orleans is ready to trade Paul NOW. So look for the Hornets to be flooded with REAL offers now.

I'm glad that the Knicks brass didn't get tunnel vision on Paul and instead took a preemptive strike and wrestled Chandler away from the Warriors. For all of those guys who kept complaining about the Knicks going after a PG instead of a Center, they can shut up now.

I agree. I also think they are exploring options for Billups as well,if not then amnesty.

I am more worried Dallas find's a way to retain Chandler with a longer contract.
If Dwight really goes to Net's, which i think is unlikely till at least the trade deadline. I think the Net's need to offer more than Brook and 2 1st rounders. If not Laker's could offer the better deal.
But if he does somehow end up with the Net's, Dallas might rethink it, keeping Chandler and the player that helped their franchise win their first championship.

I think its clear Dallas has now set its sight on the 2012 free agency, Not giving out deals to chandler, barea, chandler is a strong indication

Yep- there is no way in hell we'll get CP3. He apparantly told the Knicks he wouldn't sign with them if he lost all that money, so signing him as FA is not an option. At the same time Stern is making an example of him, and if he ain't trading him to the lakers for that package, he sure ain't trading him to us for less of one, so we couldn't get him via a trade either. we have no choice but to move on without him.
