What could he yield to complete our team?

Say CP3 gets snagged, use as a centerpiece for him via 3 way?

Get a point and Power forward? Not "star" mind you but SSOL types that could thrive?

Or, Deron and Humphries for Stat? NYets need a star.

Any other idea's?

If CP3 deal breaks down, get that package from Rockets?

If we can sign Kris Humphries for MLE

I would love the return of Ariza with Cp3.

However, the way Melo plays, I think Cp3 would mesh better with Amare, as Melo is a a black hole.
Kobe isn't nearly as bad as him, he might look to score every time for 20x after he touches the ball but even Kobe is willing to pass up shots, allowing ball movement on many plays.

however, Amare is the bigger risk, injury wise and if we don't have the Amnesty to protect us, I can understand them seeing what they can get in return for him now.
However, the addition of Chandler helps Amare out a lot. Another body or 2 would help this shortened season, with back to back to backs.

it would also pave the way for KG to come to New York for MLE, he would fit perfect. ^^

I like Amare and Chandler up front. Very intimidating athletic front court.

Not saying Amare is not good to stay,

Lets assume you could fill in all the blanks by trading him, and reducing financial disaster if he gets hurt.....

If we could trade him for Al Horford and Joe Johnson then I'd be willing to trade him.

hey, if jordan gets injured maybe the bulls wouldn't win 6 rings. you can't play like that. you have to go all-in to win in this league. if it works, it works and everyone's a genius. if not, que sera.

The more talent you have the less of a workload each player has to bare. Just adding Tyson takes pressure off Amar'e and preserves him and the same goes for Melo and on down the line. This talk of trading Amar'e is a bit too much. We've got a nice core of talent and if the deal goes thru we still have talented youth as well! Iman, Fields, TD and Brown are all still here. Who knows maybe they bring back Shawne too.
