it seems that chauncey would be traded back together with turia to the nuggets for miller

Any report on Miller as a point guard? all i know is he is a bad three point shooter and loves handling the ball.

Any report on his p&r skills? Leadership? defense?

I always likes his game. He is a pass first point guard with good size and solid ball handling skills. Don't really know more than that.

pass first, smart player.

here's hollinger's scouting report:

+ Big, crafty point guard with outstanding left-block post game. Good rebounder.

+ Best alley-oop passer in game. Struggles to stay in front of quick guards.

+ Terrible long-range shooter but makes free throws. Good team defender.

Miller is 35, can't shoot, and doesn't exactly look like Jack LaLanne out there, so we keep waiting for his performance to tail off. And waiting. And waiting. At 34 last season with the Blazers, Miller was still as good as he's ever been. He was more of a distributor and less of a scorer, ranking 10th in assist rate and 11th in pure point rating, but still scored at a decent clip despite his poor long-range shot. Miller made only four 3-pointers all season, but his awkward set shot isn't bad from mid-range (37 percent), and he's actually a very good foul shooter (career-high 85.3 percent; he's at 80.7 lifetime).

Miller's biggest weakness is what his shot means for the others on the floor. Because he has no value as a floor spacer, it makes it very easy for opponents to collapse and take away other players' driving lanes. With the right players around him it's a nonfactor, but if another non-shooter is on the court it's a real problem. Now surrounded by Denver's shooters after a draft-day trade, it may become less of an issue.

Defensively, Miller can't handle quick guards, but has good size, rebounds well and is a smart help defender. The biggest worry remains his lack of conditioning -- he tends to play his way into shape as the season goes on -- especially given the work stoppage. He has historically played very poorly in the first month or two of the campaign; this year, that time frame might be most or all of the season.

That's great to hear that he is the best alley-oop passer. Chandler loved that with CP3

This makes the chandler signing even better for me as a fan. Just hope this signing is a wakeup call to grant hill. If we sign both of them Id be happy.

Take the miller for billups trade, try him out if it doesnt work, trade him back to the trailblazers and get felton back or trade him for ramon sessions, PG's are a dime a dozen.
Sessions
Felton
Davis
Ridnour
the list goes on... all could be had cheap

Flynn is with the Rockets and he isn't a point guard. He is Douglas with less defense.

I'll would love to have Raymond Felton back... I think he would thrive again. I think Portland is gonna be sick this year.

This. I loved Ray when he was here. Getting him back would be a coup! I still think this team needs a designated long range bomber who can defend the equivilant of what Raja Bell was in the starting lineup .

I remember how Miller went to the then awful 76ers and turned them into a playoff team. The guy is a true floor general. He doesn't step outside his comfort zone and is a crafty scorer.

Miller actually is a bit like Mark Jackson - not fast, but he still manages to get inside and get good passes off.

If we got Miller back for Billups- that is a pretty even deal, and would have to be considered almost as big as getting Chandler signed!

How would we get Miller back for Billups if we need to get rid of Billups contract to clear room for Chandler?

Got a feeling we are going to be getting another look at the forgotten man, Andy Rautins.

To be honest, I was hoping he would get another shot. I thought he was better than he showed last season and he did Shine over the summer with the Canadian team.

stop making sh!t up, the only way Chandler gets signed is by Aminesty Billups. with that said We are capped out with Chandler Stat Melo. Still we have 5 mil to sign MLE player and vet league minimium players

PG-Mario Chalmers- 5yr 15mil and Vince Carter-2yr 5mil or
Baron Davis-2yr 10 mil and Michael Redd-1yr 1 mil

along Melo Stat Chandler
bench
Douglas Shumpert Fields Turiaf Harrelson

Baron Davis is going to be bid on and signed by a team that is under the cap. He is too good a player to slip through those cracks.

I am not really in favor of Bdiddy

But teams under the cap are normally rebuilding teams, and when baron is unmotivated he sucks bigtime!
