It'll be for a PG. Chandler negates the need for Moz.

I would be for this 100%.

Billup/Turiaf for Andre Miller. Only thing that makes sense.

There is nothing wrong with trading for a backup big that can hopefully stay healthy and give both Chandler AND Amar`e the rest they need... That is, of course, if Moz can play at all.

Reports indicate that Tyson will be a Knick. Only thing is what they will do with Billups. Either trade of amnesty, but looks more like trade.

Turiaf would be a 1 year rental for teams. He is a decent back up just not starting material that can produce consistently. That was the problem when he started for the Knicks, there were many games where he had many blocked shots, some rebounding, and played good defense. But the combo with and undersized Amare/Turiaf as a starting line up is too much to ask of Turiaf. His main value would be an expiring contract, so if he is traded, it would be to teams looking to get rid of salaries with longer years.

Mosgov and Birdman are possibilities for Denver.
I can't see why Dallas would look to pay luxury tax in a sign and trade for Billups's. The good thing about amnesty Billup's is his chances of going to Miami or slim due to teams under the cap bid for him before he can go to FA. However, it would be in the team's best interest to trade Billup's for Tyson Chandler. That amnesty clause can be saved for a possible injury.

Yes because we can always amnesty him. And he'd be an ideal 6th man, except for what he's being paid. But I don't think the #'s work anyway so it's moot.

Hahaha that's what I thought at first. But assuming we'd be able to amnesty him at any time, why not? But I don't think we can afford his contract anyway.

I think you can use the amnesty only once a decade.

You can use the amnesty once during the life of the current CBA.

The new CBA will last 10 years, so you're both correct.

I believe that the Knicks will make a wise decision on when to use theirs. Luckily for us, the current roster doesn't have any contracts that would be considered "bad" enough for amnesty to be considered (and hopfully they won't use it on Billups, and they move him instead, if they don't let him ride out the year here).

It'll be a while before we have to worry about another NBA lockout. :D

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If Chandler's coming, Billups has to be traded or amnestied. Can't sign Chandler with Billups still on the books.

there's an opt out of the CBA for both sides after 6yrs, right after they sign the new TV deal. could be another lockout or player strike in 2017. though hopefully the league is doing well and everyone is happy.

Yeah, we can only hope. Lockouts are bad business. I think that both the players and owners will be OK with all the millions they'll be getting. Another lockout or other labor drama so soon after this mess was resolved would hurt the game.
