If the Knicks' next move is to engage NOR in CP3 talks for Stoudemire, this is not something that Amar'e would be happy with, at all.

This would be horrible. Not just because Amar'e breathed life back into this franchise, but because the team wouldn't be as good.

Chandler, STAT, Melo > Chandler, Melo, CP3

it would hurt worse than not re-signing Ewing.

i agree completely.

interesting to note: D'antoni needs a point guard to win. Phil Jackson does not. just sayin'.

After thinking about it a bit more, I just can't see the knicks trading Amare.

Hmmmm

Me thinks there might be a power struggle between Amare and Melo..........

Hopefully not. We NEED Amare to be our Dirk next to Chandler.

It would be an interesting move, basically putting together a Hornets team from a few years back plus Melo. You would have to think it is a plan that puts us into contention. However, i believe it will be much easier to find a solid PG within the next year instead of losing Stoudemire and having to replace him. Nash would probably come for the mid-level next season knowing the opportunity.

C Chandler
PF Stoudemire
SF Anthony
SG Fields or Hill or Shumpert
PG Nash

Absolutely a contender.

people are saying CP3 to the Lakers right now.

I agree that Nash would be a good option... next off-season... and it'd have to be for the MLE>

There is no way the Knicks would do this. Not even Dolan. If they do, ill put this threat back on the table. Ill become a Heat fan.

I agree. I like the beastly front court of Chandler, Stroudemire, and Anthony. Those guys arent softies.

I dont want Nash starting for this team though. The guy will have Chandler in foul trouble within minutes with his matador D.

Im on the OJ Mayo train.

So we'd be the 2008 Hornets + Melo... start stitching that banner now..! Or not.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

ESPN has this scenario as part o their coverage of the Tyson deal as well. I hope it has no legs. Elite PGs aren't necessary for a championship, but solid defensive play from bigs is. Tyson might inspire Amare to greater defensive feats OR allow his offense to shine brighter like Oakley did for Patrick (although Patrick was always playing hard D).

I can't support this proposed move at all.

+10

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Lakers - Bynum(C), Gasol(PF), Bryant (Elite Permiter Player)
Grizzlies - Gasol (C), Randolph (PF), Missing that perimeter player
Knicks - Chandler (C), Amare (PF), Melo (Elite Perimeter Player)

Dominating front courts do damage in the playoffs. Say NO to CP3.
