We are offering him a vet min contract for one year to save cap space.

This kid was very important to us last year, especially after the MeloDrama.

He has other offerens for more money, maybe more length.

He was given a great opportunity which is took advantage of and made good.

I would hope we can keep him with a hand shake deal we take care of him next year.

We need players.

Anyone read any more about his status?

yeah, i've heard they've offered him a one year deal for $980,000. heard New Jersey, among others, has already offered him more money.

i'd like to bring him back - but he's a very limited player. that said, he can hit the three and play defense and play minutes. depth is going to be important this season, it'd be nice to have him back.

he's a tough guy, good defender and with that insane 7'5 wingpan can play and defend 4 positions. Too bad we are in pump and dump mode

He's vastly overated. He can't dribble, drive or make jumpers inside the three point line with any consistently. He was a nice pickup last year, but isn't really worth much more than we are offering him.

he's friends and shares an agent with Amar'e. Shawne, Amar'e and Iman worked out a lot of the summer together (at Isiah's gym in Florida).

i think he'd come back at a discount. but if someone like the Nets offers 3yrs $9M and the knicks are offering one year $1M... can you really ask a guy to leave $8M of the $9M total on the table?

guys like shawne williams only get one deal like this. can't ask him not take it. it ain't show friends.

If the Chandler rumors pan out the whole complextion of the team changes.

Stat as a trade chip is interesting.

Stat might have more value then Paul?

THIS IS why I don't like having so many max players.. guys who should be getting more money are left in the cold and your team really needs these guys..

are some best G/F's available aside from a declining Richardson.
especially if he is willing to come at a discount, if Chandler is here, we can afford to 4get about Cp3 and offer longer contracts.

What price do you feel is a fair amount for both sides is the better???
I think he will wait give us a couple of days till Chandler is official.
I am thinking 2year 3 - 3.5m or 3year 4-4.5m is fair for his production, any discounts very much appreciated...

Wilson Chandler RFA probably only chance is a 4 year max MLE money, which might get matched anyway.

Brandon Wright *6'9 with 7'4 wingspan or higher* I read a team is already interested in him in the 2-3m range. He hasn't done anything effective in this league yet.
and his shot is suspect at, with 3point range being unlikely unless he improved in practice and never exhibited it, not having a chance.
