"If Hill signs with the Knicks, they could boast a potentially formidable starting five of Chauncey Billups at point guard, Hill at SG, Carmelo Anthony at small forward, Amar'e Stoudemire at power forward and free agent Jared Jeffries at center."

Somebody managed to put "boast" and Jared Jeffries in the same sentence, and now I have to read it? Seriously?

Hill would be an excellent short term addition to the Knicks and make up for a lot of the deficiencies in the starting lineup.

At this point my best case scenario might be Hill with a one-year mid level and Fesenko with the 1.9 mil bi-annual exception for one season. Hill would be awesome has he would bring leadership and defense to this team. He would be a proper mentor over Fields for a year or two and Fields would benefit from proper grooming and would strengthen the bench tremendously as 6th man. Fesenko is a nice player to add to the mix with Turiaf and Jeffries on board. He is a major defensive presence and is low risk. If his offense can one day become just bad instead of unwatchable, then he will be a nice center for this team.

The Mavs won with a bunch of vets last year! Besides this team will still have plenty of young guys, you need some key vets with experience to win. You can't expect to win a title with a crew full of kids. Also these are one year deals.

Yes, we get it - you loved Isiah and hated Walsh.

Grant Hill is still a solid player. Given that we're in win-now mode, he would be an excellent pickup. I actually would revise my win prediction up a little if we got him.

He has come back some pretty serious injuries. However like Nash he also is a nutrition freak so maybe that will extend his time on the court.

Most contending teams take advantage of getting vets for cheap. Why should we be any different?

if he's willing to sign for only a year, why not? fortifies our bench too -- can bring 3 young guys who can play (fields, douglas, shumpert) off of it.

I like Grant Hill, but I'm also the guy who drafted his wife in Alba.

I hope he gets signed... he can defend, and give some minutes as the lead facilitator

It's no secret that Hill loves living/playing in Phoenix but the Suns have to want him back.

His family loves NY, If hill didn't sign with us 2 years ago because of a rebuilding and unsure roster, why on earth (2 years later/older) would he stay with the suns, who who may bearly crack 20 wins.

Not to mention the fact that nash will most likely be gone next year, leaving him in the desert with no water..His wife's album is dropping in 2 months and what better place to promote it then NY..
