Jeffries off the bench and for a minimum salary, I don't mind.

But can we PLEASE find someone else to start at center?!

What did y'all expect?

Dalembart? Marc Gasol?

JJ got Amare's "Back".

Lets hope he sits at the end of the bench cuz there is better in front of him.

I take back all my knocks on the MElo trade. Clearly we are able to get impact players to help after all

Jeffries is a solid 10th man, a player who sees 5-10 mins per game depending on matchups and injuries. The issues i think most people have with him his the fact he will see major minutes and may even start. Hopefully we either add a solid center, or more likely, D'Antoni gives Turiaf another chance. Turiaf would be a solid starting center if he was a better rebounder and had the ability of playing big minutes without getting hurt. But his rebound rate is bound to go up this season. If that happens and he can stay on the floor, it will be difficult to find a better option for cheap.

we can just use him to guard whoever Melo is supposed to guard in crunch time. Unless its Paul Pierce. Then we just forfeit

Look at it on the brighter side: At least we will get some more colorful rants from the Knicks Chic. Maybe she'll even wear some sexy clothing for a change.

As for Fishlips, I'll never get tired of hearing my son scream "Not Fishlips! Anything but him..." when he walks up to the scorer's table.

OMG! for the love of fish!

that's how exactly what Amare, Melo, Dantoni, and New York can attract. So sad! This is why I would rather offer Samuel Dalembert and Kris Humphries a full MLE money.
And make an announcement that we are looking to win now! It doesn't mean we don't have to trade, we have to improve our roster.
Who would want to go to New York, knowing they are looking to add a 3rd star, on a discount, and on a 1 year deal? It makes no sense, why would any FA's want to come.

I would still look to sign another athletic body in
Sean William

and some other players 1 more.
Foster
Aaron Gray
Josh Boone

sign a shooter
Kapono
Redd
James Jones

and another G/F or resign Shawne Williams
Shannon Brown

all these players, we just have to make sure they are worth their money and not overpaying, they would become assets at the trade deadline...

I would rather look in D League, this is upsetting if true. It seems more n more like Isiah is just behind everything...

We need defense, rebounding, and shot blocking.

So he does play decent defense isn't even good enough to negate his negative offensive abilities or lack of.

That's why i already looked at D league talent and players out of the league...

I actually don't mind this signing. Jared or Butterfingers as we call him in my house is not as bad as he seems. He does drive you nuts with his inability to convert from point blank range, but he also is a very good team defender. I don't think he was in top shape when we got him last year and overall the chemistry of the team was off. He is who he is. For the price he's a known quantity and he knows what to do already.

for those who think that having added Melo and STAT that somehow players still don't want to come here, that's not really it. The problem is that players know that we're trying to trade for Paul. Players don't want to come here and then end up part of a trade. In addition, the Knicks aren't going hard after FA's like they could since they're saving cap space for possibly getting Paul. Once the Paul issue is resolved then things will get better for the Knicks acquiring players.
