Well a trade would work if they give us Rasho along with Mercer and we give them Anderson, OH, and Deke. Trade ID number 1516742

However I'm not sure that this a good deal at all. Yet, I remember a time when Mercer was an above average starter in this league. I personally always liked Rasho because of his ability to step out and good shotblocking as well. SA hates him cause they expected a double double man, however I'v always felt he can't give more then 8 8 and 1.5, so he is actually outpeforming in blockshots. With a penetetraing PG he can eaisly improve his pts to 10 a game as well as his bounds to somwhere around 10, considering there wount be a Duncan or a Garnett next to him enahailing the glass. He is a legimiate 7 footer after all. And will be so for years to come while Deke is close to being done, having maybe 1 year left in the tank.

I also like Mercer becaue Houston is so injry prone. We can start Mercer, I beleave he is a good outside shooter, and can average around 14pts a game which is fine. He can also fun very well, a better defender then Houston, and has much better athletis, he can acually finish in traffic and on the break with a dunk.

In light of next year, when Sheed will be here, we would actually be better of with Mercer as a solid starter who doesnt need to take 20 shots a game rather then Houston who would demand the ball. Sheed and Marbury whould take the majoirty of the shots next year, so having Mercer, Rasho, and TT as the complemenary startes who can hit the open shot is better.

Yeah... I don't understand why we need more wing players... we're overflowing with them now.

Is there one particular need we have right now? It would be a luxury getting a post-up player (Marcus Fizer, Melvin Ely?) who can score on isolations, but really, with Mutombo/Kurt/Mohammed/Harrington, who's going to be a marked improvement over that bunch?

This is a tough time for IT.
We might not need a SG at all if TT steps up his scoring and/or Allan comes back 100%... So should he trade for that spot or try to improve at the 4 and 5 which is where we're most deficient.
It's not likely we could go all the way this year with a sub-par Houston or a replacement available anyways...
We should not try to acquire any more guards...
