From the way this story sounds, Doleac could end up in Denver...

Where in the USA is Michael Doleac?

In our conversations with Hawks personnel, not once was the name of Michael Doleac mentioned in regards to new additions to the team. In Monday’s New York Post, it was reported that the Hawks would waive Doleac, which was met with anticipation from cities that would be very interested in the center, who does not have an option on his contract for next season as reported by RealGM earlier.

Doleac did come into Atlanta and take a physical, but since the trade has not been officially approved by the NBA, none of the parties can talk about the principals in the deal, nor can the players participate in practice. Pryzbilla was there Monday night, but not practicing, but Doleac was nowhere to be seen.

When questioned about the new players, Coach Terry Stotts mentioned Wallace, Wes Person, and Pryzbilla, who had been coached by Stotts in Milwaukee, but Stotts failed to mention Doleac. When questioned about his neglect to mention Doleac, Stotts smiled and said he could not comment.

RealGM believes that Doleac will not step foot on the Philips Arena floor as a Hawk, but not because he will be waived by Atlanta, rather, that a trade is in the works for the center to one of the teams that have shown interest in the former Knick since the deal was announced.

The most likely candidate might be Denver, who has two things that fit the 3 criteria Billy Knight has been looking for in his rebuilding deals. The first criterion is an expiring contract, which RealGM has confirmed Doleac has, so that would not make sense in a deal.

Denver has 2 of the other 3, one of which would be draft picks, since the Nuggets have future first rounders due from both the Clippers and the Sixers. The other would be young talent, with the Nuggets possibly hanging Rodney White out for the Hawks. Any trade for White would have to be straight up for Doleac, as he cannot be aggregated with another player.

The trade deadline is a couple of days away, and teams aren't playing around this year- especially the Knicks. I am glad we are in the mix and getting better, in the midst of all this change throughout the league...

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
