You can add former Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury to the list of Michael Jordan critics.

Jordan, owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, has been chastised by some NBA players and media pundits for his hard-line stance during the NBA lockout.

Marbury sounded off Wednesday in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter account:

• "Micheal Fake Jordan is a sell out. #Period. He forgot which hole he came out of. I said it 'Stephon X Marbury.'"

• "MJ went from MJ the black cat to a guy who forgot he was a player. Sell your team if you can't make a profit.. Your just a regular dude now!"

Jordan, who won six titles as a player with the Chicago Bulls, is reportedly a driving force behind a faction of owners who want the players' percentage of basketball-related income set no higher than 47 percent.

Marbury continued his critique of Jordan over a series of replies to his followers on Wednesday and Thursday:

• "He's just a man. I know he's some people's GOd but real is real. Dude forgot he played and demanded millions."

• "He never did nothing that I knew about to change the life off of the court other then hit cats over the head for a 100 150 dollar sneakers and still doing it."

• "Jim Brown said it best. Mikey mouse type cat. Wave and take your bread. He doesn't care about the hood or what's good in the hood."

• "when he rapped the BULLS for 36 million for one year no ones said nothing about that. We said he's Mike he should. Now look!"

Marbury also retweeted this: "He made an empire off of our people, and never gave back. No matter how many kids were getting killed over his bumass kicks."

Jordan's motives have also been questioned by current players, such as Warriors rookie Klay Thompson.

In a conversation with Indiana's Paul George on Twitter, Thompson tweeted, "man straight hypocrite bro.. He should've been the 1st one behind us."

Marbury, 34, currently plays in China. He last played in the NBA in 2009, suiting up in 24 games for the Boston Celtics.

He spent a mostly disastrous 4½-season tenure with the Knicks. New York's highest win total with Marbury was 39. They made the playoffs once -- in Marbury's first season -- and were swept by Jason Kidd and the Nets.

Among other embarrassing off-court incidents, Marbury briefly went AWOL from the team in Isiah Thomas' last season as coach, and made headlines with his testimony in a $10 million sex-harassment lawsuit against Thomas and Madison Square Garden.

Marbury, a Brooklyn native, averaged 19.3 points and 7.6 assists per game in 13 seasons with Minnesota, New Jersey, Phoenix, New York and Boston.

Jordan made his mega millions and was a bargain for the Bulls. Marbury totally fleeced the Knicks for the performance they got for the money. Jordan could sell the team but why would he not try to make money? People like to bash the owners for idiocy not making money with an NBA franchise. It's strange that the majority of owners are idiots. It's stranger still when the same people are outraged when the owners make smart mves to try and be profitable.

Marbles is great.

I will say the dude does have a heart to help people. I hope for his "Cause" he is smart with his money. Seems to me he is in china to try to build an empire selling his discount kicks. But he does have heart.

Marbles robbed the rich to give to the poor. He might be a few copecs short of ruble, but the dude has heart.

JOrdan is an owner. Calling him out over this is really stupid. Players calling him a "sell out" is stupid.

Giving money is a very good thing and Jordan being a private person might be very generous with his money but does not seek publicity.

ONe way of advancing the cause of black america is creating wealth which creates power. Jordan is doing that.

On the record, Im not a fan of post player Mike, but what I think is not that important.

Marbles is great!

Yeah, I wouldn't have realized that until yesterday, but Reggie Miller said that during negotiations in the 1998 to '99 lockout, Joedan told the owners to sell the teams.

No I didn't. Thanks for pointing that out. I 've not been very fond of Jordan since his disgusting HOF induction. But at least Jordan actually earned his money and was a professional when he was playing. My other point was that owners are finally doing what they have to to make their teams profitable and now they are evil. It seems the only way people will be happy is if they give the players whatever they want and run it like an NBA players charity. People howl more about the poor 'plantation worker' players than how absurdly expensive tickets are. It's silly.

If the owners settle then we have ball again and fans happy. If the players were on strike we'd blame the players. In these days of "occupy" we rally the small guy vs. the greedy owners. Shame is the really little guys, the employees of the teams (non players), the catering companies, security guards, sound people, cheer leaders, electricians, arena engineers, waitress', bartenders, etc who rely on the games for income are the ones really hurting.

Jordan owns the team and dong what he needs to for it to thrive. He did not buy it so the good people in NC can have pro ball, he bought it make money!

To me it doesn't really matter who is striking or locking out. The bottom line in any such scenario is that the two sides don't agree on how to split the money. It takes two to tango. The little guy is really the one who suffers unfortunately. But noone really cares about him. It's just not interesting enough.

Marbs might have heart, but his head is stuffed so far up his azz that it's amazing he can see the screen on his phone to tweet.

I'm sure MJ is incredibly concerned with what Marbs the human cancer thinks.

exactly, a wealth transfer program... give me my basketball, I don't care who it cost or what it ruins, but give my basketball.. i don't care if the owners are losing money, they are rich and I want to see basketball.. idiot owners.... this is the thinking of some people, and honestly it is just scary....
