This trade is a little lopsided but the Kings might want to do it to save cash and becuase of CWebb's legal problems. The Kings aren't happy with Christie. Imagine two of the best shooters next to each other in Houston and Stoykovich. The kings also have been doing very well with Divac and Miller.

The Knicks would benefit a lot from this trade. They would hace much better defense with Chrisitie and would have two of the best pfs in the league after they sign Weed in the summer. Imagine this lineup next year. It would be unstopable.

pg-Marbury
sg-Christie
sf-Thomas
pf-Webber
c-Weed

We also would have a great bench with Penny, Nazr, FWill

I love that trade... but I doubt the Kings would do it..
If IT could somehow pry Webber from the Kings AND Webber passes his physical.. I say erect a statue in his name..
He would be without a doubt our Savior!

Yo...

Wood and I were talking about that SAME deal just yesterday. I read about CWebb's pending suspension and the Sexual Harassment case the Kings' PR exec filed against Doug Christie and his wife. Immediately I thought about that deal. A 2-guard and power forward pair swapped.
The RealGM ID is 1512364. The deal works.

If Webber were only a little more durable. He would have to be that way in NY to stay.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

it's an interesting scenario but I think the Kings don't do it for the same sort of reason the Knicks traded KVH: too many shooters who can't defend. I haven't watched much of Stoja... er, the King's small forward, but I am guessing he does about as much D as Hou does. The Kings with Christie have a player who knows his role, D and hit the shot if you are open.

Also, do the Kings really save money if they receive Hou and are forced to re-sigh Kurt?

They are unhappy with Chrisitie and have amazing chemistry without CWebb. It would be amazing for them to have two of the three best shooters on the same team.

i think there is a chance if they become fed up with Webber's legal problems.

I HATE it. CWebb cant get healthy and has legal problems and at least a 6 game (2-week) suspension. Christy is AWFULL and I dont want him NEAR my roster. Didnt we learn our lesson with McDyess? Please...

talk about a pipe dream. yeah, i'd do it in a heartbeat, but sac would most likely deal w/webber's present problems, rather than deal w/houston's possible long-term aillings. i also don't think the kings would want to transform into a team like the dallas(defensless)mavericks.

i think webber is one of the most overrated players in the league, not even including the fact that he's always injured. he doesn't take advantage of his body and skills and just floats around the free throw line, instead of using his strength down low. still kings would never do that, who in their right mind would take on houston's contract?LOL

plus christie is a great defender, he's the guy i'd really want.

I'd do it in a second, I doubt SAC would.

Maseinyourface, I agree 100% Webber is definitely overated and he doesn't play under the basket as much as he should, and during playoffs he's questionable, still I'd do the trade though.
