AT&T, Verizon to get MSG HD http://www.nypost.com/p/news/business/at_verizon_to_get_msg_hd_G6gz1SVvRnQxlESuRiALAK Cablevision Systems Corp. unfairly withheld high-definition versions of professional sports broadcasts including Knicks basketball and Rangers hockey from AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc., the US said. Madison Square Garden, a unit of Madison Square Garden Inc. that was spun off from Cablevision, must agree to license the MSG HD and MSG+ HD channels to AT&T and Verizon within 30 days, the Federal Communications Commission said in an order released yesterday. AT&T had said it couldn’t get the HD broadcasts for its TV customers in Connecticut, and Verizon complained of a lack of access in New York and Buffalo, the FCC said.
