No debate, whats on the field and off are separate.

Them contracts usually don't fulfill the whole amount but if it does then he will have earned every dime.

He paid his debt to society. He's a football player, not a former Gov. from Alaska who bolted with a year left on her term!

I'm certain this 'debate' sprung up because Vick admitted that this was the first season he's actually tried to break down tape and learn what the defensive schemes are. He essentially admitted he was getting by just with athleticism and not with work ethic

well, eli is constantly in the film room breaking down tape and he still had 18 interceptions last year. vick has done well on the field so he deserves it. it is separate from his off field problems which is a shame.

If he shows up drunk and gets the job done, he deserves it.

So if you're incredibly talented and can perform on talent alone, you don't deserve success? Who makes the determination as to what qualifies someone to be deserving of success?

I can see a debate like this around steroids or performance enhancing drugs, or cheating somehow, but he has success last year on talent alone so he doesn't deserve it?

I thought this was going to a PETA-driven, animal rights debate...

Does Michael Vick deserve his success?
