Hi all

This is my first post on this forum. The reason for my post is to say hello to all you knicks fans and also to get some advice. I live in the uk (manchester to be precise) and i will be paying a visit to nyc in december. I was hoping someone could give me advice on were to get tickets for a game when i visit. The game in question is against the charlotte bobcats on 10th december at msg. I am also interested to know what real new yorkers do when going to a match i.e. were do you sit, pre match and post match activities etc. Also what can i expect from this experience? I attend rugby league matches and football matches in the uk regularly and i wonder how the knicks experience will compare. Any advice will be much appreciated.

With the lockout, you might get lucky and get to buy tickets direct from MSG if/when it ends.

If not, go here. MSG now offers season ticket holders an opportunity to put tickets they purchased up online on an auction website. Charlotte might be one of those games that you can get at-or-below face value from a season ticket holder

The NBA is currently going through a dispute between players and owners. There may not be a game on the 10th of december. And if there is, it may be possible to buy at the gate.

And pre and post is same as at the footy. Get the brews in early with a pie or three. Depending on the result, get further brews in later leading to unexpected debauchery and a late-night kebab. Only difference is theres far less away fans and you wont have any problems with opposing drinkers.

Noone knows. Isn't it always about money? Theyre arguing about various issues including slicing the pie up, contract lengths and other dumb issues

hopefully there is a season for you to see the game.

right now, hard to say, but some ultimateknick posters like to go to a bar, stout, for games sometimes.

iv done a bit of reading on the "lockout" and i must say im more confused now as i was before haha.

if i do get to a knicks game who would the players to watch?
im not a massive nba fan as the coverage over here isnt exactly massive however i do have an interest in it as i played some basketball when i was in high school and i watched one of the finals games on tv last year when i was in nyc and absolutley loved it. i very much doubt any of my heros from when i played will still be playing today.
