The guy has done an image transformation similar to Chris "Birdman" Anderson.

If this rumor has any truth behind it I would welcome him to the team with open arms. Keep on stacking the tall guys.

He shouldn't command more than the veterans minimum salary and looking at his game log while he was playing steady minutes for the Sonics, its seems he can provide some shot blocking and rebounding. aka Defense.

I didn't follow Swift much after the draft. After I saw this thread I googled him and read a bit about him. He seems like a great kid. Apparently he was going to study Japanese in college and was facinated by the culture prior to playing there. He definitely would be worth the risk. I think he is only 25.

Right, he seems have a thirst for knowledge and comes across as a very smart guy. Signing him would subscribe to the out of the box thinking this team needs.

Another guy that might be worth the Knicks looking at is Josh Boone.

It's not enough to just bring in bodies. We need a guy that is literally tough enough to grind and bang inside. Boone never showed that kind of game IMO. At least Kwame was able to avg. 7 rebs in about 26 mins. He's no monster, but he's capable and that says a lot. Kwame is 6-11 270. I'd rather take a chance on him than any of the other guys mentioned.

Boone averaged 7 rebs in his second year when he played 25 mins a night. I don't think the Knicks can dismiss anyone with size that has the ability to contribute. Boone is only 26 and wants to get back to the nba.
