![]() Iverson probably needs the money now, funny how that tends to humble a person. I say no thanks...

![]() For the minimum we need to give him a look. He acts up we cut him. Real simple.
We are thin at the guard position and I don't see Billups staying healthy all season. Also that Stone guy is a few years away from contributing. I want max cap space for 2012. NY Knicks - Retirement home for players and GMs

![]() If AI were willing to play for the Knicks for the minimum, I think you have to do that deal. We still don't have a true PG other than Billups, and our SG position is not well-settled. I would put him on a 1 year deal and if he causes problems, you cut him.

Since he has been low in doe his possie ain't traveling with him. I know that he wish he had all that money back that he was paying his possie just to hang out with him. probably some of them may have more money then Allen. Papabear

![]() I might be wrong but didn't D'Antoni reject acquiring Iverson several years ago?

![]() No, I think it was Dolan who didn't want Iverson. I would take a flyer on him for the minimum.

![]() This is what was reported in the fall of 09.
The Knicks declined to pursue Iverson in the summer when he was a free agent, and Iverson signed with Memphis in September. The coaching staff was worried Iverson's me-first rep wasn't a good fit on a rebuilding team with young players such as Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas. "We had a little group from last year we wanted to keep together," D'Antoni said. "That was the decision in summertime. Not to disrupt what we have. Things change every second, standings. Donnie will do his homework, see what happens." When asked if Iverson would help the development of Chandler, Gallinari and Douglas, Walsh admitted it was an issue. "You consider everything if you're thinking about a guy. That's what we got to think about and talk about." Walsh said he and D'Antoni will discuss the matter. "Mike's my partner in this," Walsh said. "And I always listen to what my coaches say. We'll talk about this, about what's best for the team." ![]() I'd prefer he be in Miami. Adds to the drama. Nice story if they win it all.
I need some good guys on Miami to make it ok if they do end up winning. I'll never root for them but make it palatable to some degree! |

If the guy has game he'll have options. The guy needed to work on his fundamentals (Practice makes perfect!) to compensate when his gifts aged. Not sure he did this which made his game fall pretty fast. Reminds me of Tiny Archbald, the dude was able to morph his game when a knee injury slowed him down. |

Allen Iverson is in trouble, folks, deep trouble. The combination of alcohol and gambling - and a once-promising career in tatters because of the first two - won't culminate in anything short of disaster if help does not arrive in short order. If numerous NBA sources are telling the truth - and there's no reason to believe they'd do otherwise in a situation of this magnitude - Iverson will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away. http://articles.philly.com/2010-03-07/sports/24956781_1_train-wreck-allen-iverson-pat-croce I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
