What are the ideal running-mates to play alongside Melo and Stoudemire if you could chose the 3 other starters? Only rules are they can't have had any all-star appearances in their careers and they can't currently average 20 points or better (eliminating borderline all-stars like Kevin Martin, Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis, etc.)

C Nene
PF Stoudemire
SF Anthony
SG Igoudala
PG Stephen Curry

Looks like a championship line-up to me. Players that would fit nicely next to our 2 stars. What's your team?

5 - Tyson Chandler, he was one of the main reasons Dallas got over the top this year. I like him better because of the defensive edge he has on Nene.
4 - STAT
3 - Melo
2 - Aaron Afflalo, he shoots very good percentages, defends very well as far as I know, basically a younger Shane Battier IMO. Good character. I want Iguodala too, but I want a guy that can defend and shoot the open shot well. Even though Iguodala is such a talent in his own way. Another guy could be Anthony Morrow, although I haven't seen too much of him.
1 - Stephen Curry, can't dispute that pick at all. Perfect fit, imo.

C-Tyson Chandler
PF-Amare
SF-Melo
SG-Gallo
PG-Stephen Curry

Curry and Gallo would force teams to single cover both Amare and Melo. If they double using a center, Tyson would have a field day with the dunk shot.

pg- andre miller- older but still good. good team player, leader and passer.

sg- marcus thornton- underrated sg who can avg. 20ppg and score in different ways. can take the heat off amare and melo

sf- melo- duh?

pf- amare- duh?

c- marcus camby- yes, i would bring him back because he is a good defender and can rebound. he has also been durable. he is a perfect compliment to amare as he will not demand the ball but still has a 15 footer.

6th man- jerryd bayless- i still have faith in him and think he will be a good player someday. still quick and can score.

Deandre Jordan
Amare Stoudemire
Carmelo Anthony
James Harden
Brandon Jennings

I like Andre Igoudala but he is ball handler.

Hibbert for Tyson Chandler, some less obvious but debatable players...

and TD gets some love from me too, think he will be solid with a center and another defensive 2. Especially if that 2 can handle the PG duties, take it to the hole, tenacious defender, and hit a wide open 3. But doing 2-3/4 things would be good enough.

Stat
Melo (now starting at the 2)
Deron Williams
