My first STFU Already goes to Dwight Howard who whines about his team, making trades, then not being asked, then opting in, or optiong out, or playing in Europe, or Playing in china......
Enought Dwight, you not that interesting!
When the Orlando Magic pulled off a pair of blockbuster trades with the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards in December, Dwight Howard was napping. No one on the Magic asked his opinion. No one asked if he was OK with the trades. Howard found out when the rest of us did: once the trades were completed.
Turns out, Howard had a problem with that.
“I wanted to be more part of the process a little more,” Howard said in a radio interview with 790 The Zone in Atlanta. “I had to step out on the court and I wanted to make sure that the people I played with wanted to go out and play hard every night. My only issue was the fact that I didn’t really have a chance to be involved, but I think with the guys that we brought in we still have an excellent chance of winning, but we all have to be on the same page.”
This is an expansion on comments Howard made earlier this summer, when he said he deserves a role in the Magic’s future personnel moves. Howard went on to say that seeing Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, Rashard Lewis and Marcin Gortat go hurt him on the personal side, but he understands the sport is a business.
Howard will become a free agent next summer, and part of his decision will be based on the Magic’s outlook for the future. For better or worse, it’s in the Magic’s best interests to keep Howard involved with personnel moves.
In the same radio interview, Howard also comments on LeBron James’ handling of his free agency, agreeing with the host’s assertion that James provided a blueprint on how not to handle leaving a tea
Anybody sick of Arenas rants yet?
