LOL These two were traded for eachother the night they were drafted, too.

Isiah likes Vin, mum on Tim
By FRANK ISOLA
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

LOS ANGELES - Isiah Thomas acknowledged that he is interested in signing Vin Baker, but the Knicks president refused to confirm that he had spoken to the Bucks about a deal that would send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee for Tim Thomas.
"That's a rumor and at this time of year you hear a lot of them," Thomas said yesterday.

In order to make a Van Horn-Thomas swap work within the salary cap, other players would have to be added or the Knicks and Bucks would have to include a third team. Thomas and Van Horn were traded once before, on Draft night in 1997.

The trade deadline is Thursday and the Bucks are somewhat reluctant to make a move that could mess with their chemistry. Thomas, on the other hand, is committed to revamping the Knicks' roster and wants to add athleticism.

Thomas also wants to add a low-post scorer, which is why he has expressed interest in Baker, who was waived by the Celtics on Friday. Baker is expected to clear waivers on Wednesday and then would become a free agent. Baker has told friends he wants to play in New York.

"I wouldn't rule anything out at this point," Thomas said.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I guess I like Van Horn more than Isiah does, but Thomas fits the Knicks goal of adding athleticism. I DON'T want Vin Baker to be signed to even a 10 day contract. He has proven that he can't stay straight.

btw, Vecsey reported that the Knicks and Hawks were discussing a Doleac for Nazir trade, but were looking for other teams so that they can expand the deal. Supposedly, Denver wants way too much for White (Kurt Thomas and two 2nd rounders).

Yea man. Totally agree with everything you said. I like KVH too but Thomas makes us more athletic. and also I DO NOT WANT VIN BAKER SIGNING ANY TYPE OF CONTRACTS WITH THE KNICKS. 2-year, 5-year, 10-day, 2-day, 1-say, 1-hour, no thank you. go find a bar.

I say, sign baker to a 10 day. See how he fits with the team to begin with, if it doesnt work then dont give him a larger contract.

not to jump the gun but signning tim and getting sheed would be one of the best thing that could happen to the east. i'm so tired of hearing about how much better the west teams are than the east. that new look knicks team would be stacked. I don't think the bucks would do it but its great to imagine.I really hope that the east teams start to dominate again. at least we are getting some kind of respect back in the garden with steph. if isiah gets those two without giving up steph and h20. i also forgot about the rumors of getting dampier. now if we got 3 out of 3. i would sign IT up for a lifetime gm contract.
c-damp, deke, doleac
pf-sheed, sweetney
sf-thomas, penny
sg- h20, anderson-(i guess)
pg- steph, williams

mooch, oh ,kt ,johnson maybe anderson would get traded to make these deals happen.

at the end of the day this is probably just my hoop dream.

say he helps a little. He obviously wont be a force to be reckoned with like rasheed or someone else like that but lets just say he is adequate. what would you want to sign him for ona 2-year deal? I can almost guarantee you he will drink and get suspended again. So does everyone.

He will never stay alcohol free. I hope he does and I wish him the best of luck but out of a knick uniform. Please, not Baker.

The better post-up value from the Bucks IMO is Mighty Joe Smith.

Trading KVH for TT is swapping salaries with KVH being more productive in scoring and rebounding.

We are still some 50 mil capsized !

If he does help a lil, couldnt we just sign him for the rest of the season?

We got more athletic. Simple and plain.

Plus, I have been wanting KVH outta here since he first got here. I always figured Tim Thomas would make a good Knick. Those two were traded the day they were drafted.

Whoo, Yeah! Happy day, happy day! Now we can call him Keith Van GONE.

Now all the KVH Fan Club members can shut the hell up or become Bucks fans. LOL

OK zeke made the trade, but Tim Thomas ? He is atlhletic, but the guy is underacheiving big time. Well this is a trade I won't even comment
on yet. Chemistry will be so important when Houston comes back. Mohammad I do like he will live in the paint , but where does that leave KT when mutumbo and mahommad play around the paint. I say trade him for somebody.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

The New York Knicks have completed a three-way trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks, ESPN's Stephen Smith reports.

Atlanta center Nazr Mohammed and Bucks forward Tim Thomas will go to New York and the Knicks will send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee. Also, New York's Michael Doleac and Bucks center Joel Przybilla will head to Atlanta as part of the deal.

The deal is expected to be announced later Sunday.

With the two deals, Thomas continues to sever ties with the Scott Layden regime. Layden acquired Van Horn in August in a controversial trade for Latrell Sprewell. Doleac was signed last year as a free agent.
