In the begining of the NFL lockout the reports coming out was that this is probably going to lead to some cancel games, or at the very least, canceling the pre season games as the side were so far apart. As of a few minutes ago, reports are indicating that they are extremely close to a deal, and it looks like no games will be missed at all.

Does anybody feel the NBA will take notice to this and work even harder to do the same..

The NFL lockout ended before if it does not end now, the owners will lose preseason games, i.e. preseason money. The NBA is still probably 2 months away from the lockout effecting any preseason games. The NBA lockout will either be resolved sometime in September or it is going to go on all the way to January and maybe beyond.

I am getting really stoked for NFL season. Does anyone know if the FA signing period begins the minute the ink dries on the new deal?

Speaking of free agency, I wouldn't mind seeing Nnamdi Asomugha in a Jets uniform. Being a raider fan, i dont see him staying, especially at that price. It would be nice to see some passes get thrown his way for once and it would be interesting to see probably the 2 best corners in the league on the same team playing under Rex.

I'd rather have the best corner and the 5th best corner AC................per burn rate.

from what i have read, 3 days after ratification teams will be able to sign FAs
