Steph is listed as number 2. I think there is a clear bias. Steph may have had his "me" issues and such, but I recall several instances of him taking care of his teammates. Buying the rookies 10 suits each after the league imposed the dress code. I dunno. Maybe that kind of stuff doesn't make up for all the other nonsense, but if not getting along with Larry Brown or Isiah Thomas is clearly a "bad teammate", there are plenty of other examples of that.

The first fan comment: "Carmelo Anthony needs to be on this list. Not just for what he did to Denver, but the hell he'll put New York through as well."

Dude, come on. He's top three without question...total cancer to a team, petulant, infantile, delusional. Why is it even a question?

Stephon Marbury sabotaged every team he was on. If you were on his team and he sabotaged your season and then bought you a suit, would you consider him a good teammate?

I just hope that people will like me

Spreewell of all people (one of my favorite players ever) but then again I really can't argue it..How can we forget the cross country drive and missing the first 4 days of training camp( no call no show)Also breaking your hand on your INFAMOUS BOAT, forcing him to miss the first 2 weeks (knicks go 1-7 without him) of the regular season..

I could understand the Bashing of Dolan in his own building( I'm sure he spoke for a lot of Fans) but to do it on a national televise game, cursing and swearing...that was over the top.

Don't know if this classifieds him as the worse ever, cause he played his ass off on the court, but it's clear as day, he has ISSUES..

I disagree with having Sprewell at the top, or on that list for that matter.

I think Sprewell may openly despised Dolan - can you blame him?

But, I think on the court, Sprewell gave it his all. He played SF for us, always took the tougher defensive assignment and gave up 20-30 pounds every night - and still performed. And I don't remember him crying once about it.

He may have acted badly at times, but I think as a team mate- he was someone that was going to have your back, no matter what - and that to me is being a team mate.

It's not like Dolan is the only person he ever had a problem with

Why do you believe Chris Jackson should be on this list?

For the most part, I think this list is really just the worst teammates *among the big name players* even though it doesn't specifically say that.

read #18, DeMarcus Cousins. The author states he is a "broke college student". Despite this being titled as the 25 worst teammates ever, the article is really the 25 worst teammates of the author's lifetime

He had his beliefs but I thought his actions served as a distraction for his team more than anything else...Essentially got him black listed from the league...But I thought he was a decent guy...I could see where people would have strong issues with his actions...

It's funny, I just ran into this list the other day. I was going to mention it. Good site.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the top rankings, but then it's hard to argue with some of the douchebag moments guys like Spree and Steph had over their careers. I thought Spree was a decent team player when he wanted to be, and you could say the same for Steph. When they weren't in the mood they might choke their coach or have someone traded, though. Not good teamwork in the latter instances, for sure.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think we are a little too close. Certainly had problems with him, but #2 all time? Rodman and Artest don't get a little priority over him? What about guys like Vin Baker or Shawn Kemp, guys who can't keep their chemical abuse issues in check so that they are even able to play? Guys pulling guns on their teammates? Don't get me wrong, I'm not making him out to be the key cog of the New York Knicks franchise or like his drama didn't cause issues, but 2nd worst teammate all-time? That seems a bit high.

Incredible how many of these guys have NY connections -- either played here or grew up here. Maybe our water isn't so pure after all.

Rodman was a wack job off the court, but a great teammate.

Rodman has 5 rings.

Metta WorldPeace has a ring.

Marbury pulled teams down in so many ways.

Yeah, like PJ Carlissimo was a fabulous human being.

The dude's game was electric, he possibly had the best quarter of a Finals anyone's ever had in a Knick uniform, and he would play flat out, 48 minutes every f-ing night. He never disappeared, he never gave up. At both ends of the court. And for that he gets traded straight up for Keith Van ShitonmyShoe Horn.

He had a short fuse. With out-and-out idiots. Bad character trait, sure. Bad teammate? I doubt it. There are tons of articles about what a model citizen Spree was after coming to NY after the choking incident.

Most of the crap on this list had nothing to do with being a teammate. The listing appears to be written by some typical journalistic knucklehead who's probably never been in a basketball locker room in his life.
