http://www.knicksvision.com/2011/06/video-where-was-iman-shumpert-on-draft-night/

This is a Twitvid so I don't know how to post it here.

This is just a Golden Moment and underscores the meaning of the NBA draft to these kids and there families.

Hey Martin is it possible to add Twitvids to the forum? I'd love to be able to show people what this is without having to always go to the site or other sites in the future.

Man i've watched it several times and I was looking at the different friends and family to see how they were reacting and it's something to see. Just looking at how Iman crumpled after the announcement shows how deeply he was affected. He strikes me as a young man that CARES! Some guys you don't get any reaction out of them. No passion. This seemed to mean the world to him.

He did say that he really wanted to play for the Knicks. I like that.

Nice video. Gotta feel good for the kid - he worked hard, and now he's made it to the NBA. Hopefully he can make a meaningful contribution to the Knicks.

(twitvid, huh?)

Did he say he wanted to play in NY?

Great video.

But, if he is crying at being picked, how on earth is he going to handle the pressure of playing in NY

Yeah there's no crying in Basketball! Unless your Bosh!

Yeah this kid said he wanted to play for the Knicks. He also said he likes big cities. I think he's gonna be special. With a defined role and in this system he should be able to make great use of his talents. How will teams be able to slow him down while having to concentrate on CB, STAT and Melo? He's one of the most athletic guards period. PnR should be a Godsend to this kid. He's so big for a PG that he should see clear as day and have great angles to pass to STAT and Melo. I've always loved big PG's, but this kid is also very quick to go with his size. So he's not your typical big slow PG.

Remember how exciting it was to see TD hounding guards on D? Just imagine TD and Iman pressuring teams down the court. They should create a lot of turnovers together.

That's a pretty awesome moment.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Just brings the whole human side of the draft into perspective. You can see how much this meant to the kid and i'm convinced he's gonna give 110% for this team.

Didn't get around to seeing the video until the wee hours of the morning, but that's just great right there. Sincere happiness. He gets to play with Amare and Melo. Not like that Morris twit who was clearly crying because his brother got picked first, but he's the next Melo with better defense (according to him). Yeah and number 13 player in what is called one of the weakest drafts in years is going to be as good as Melo...good luck with that Morris, I'm happy with Iman playing with Melo.

This kid is going to play great. One hting you can tell from that video is how greatful he is at this opportunity. And from that comes hard work to make sure you take full advantage of the opportunity. Good for him and good for us.

And you can tell that he is family man, which says good things about his make up and character. I really think this kid will be a solid force in the locker room and on the floor. He has an amazing motor.
