So much for being a mover and shaker in the draft. Seems we are still waiting for CP3 & willing to sit the season out.

This coming season will probably mean nothing because we will still be waiting for Chris Paul. In what we have so far is a bunch of mixed bags. Seems that every team improved but us. I went to the draft last night and wasted $100.00 . The Miami Heat may be the most hated team in the league but we are the most hated team by team owners and GM. It seams no one wants to do business with us.Walsh came in with a bang and is going out with a fuff. Maybe he decided to stick it to Dolan before he left.

Sorry you lost your money Papabear. Like going to a B'way show and it's a flop. I definitely feel you on that stament about being hated by other GMs and owners. With all the activity going on around us, it was like being at a party that you weren't invited to.

Has nothing to do with hate... we did not have the player or pick assets to be a major partner in any particular deal- all we could offer was cash.

All courtesy of the Anthony trade, of course.

Papa, The draft every year is a big disappointment for knick fans.

We had money to offer, but if teams want to keep the pick, they also want to pile up assets.

And, you can buy picks, but what if your guy is not there? SO it has to be who the guy is that your buying.

Rumor mill builds up the expectations.

We had 17th pick, its a weak draft and lot of euros not ready for prime time after our pick.

Wait until next year when the draft is deeper and we have no picks.

Teams with assets can trade. We don't got it. You have to be happy we got much better last winter. if not, then Im sorry for you.

Yeah, don't you wish we were Milwaukee or Minnesota. Every year doing tons of trades of our picks, up and down, and still ending up in the Lottery every year. If only we didn't trade for superstars. If only we didn't only have one first rounder and one second rounder. Since of course, all teams have two of each. If only we had not made the playoffs again. Jeez, one can only wish.

Our rebuilding plan is taking less time than a traditional draft rebuild, but we still have to go through some misery. Next year we will be moving on CP3 or Deron and so flexibility remains more important than any impact this draft may have had on our asset structure. We got a couple of bodies that fill needed roles, which is about all you should have expected given our draft position.

Once we have our elite PG, we can be more concerned about our draft position since we'll not have any assets left to trade. But we are apparently going for the wedding toast, which is fine by me. I think our big three will match up well with Miami's and whatever Chicago gets going. Should be a fun redo of '90s era rivalries and I can't wait. Stat and Melo may get hurt, but that's true of every player, and Stat seems fairly wise at this stage about protecting his body.

I feel like some people here were disappointed that we didn't get two starters with one pick at 17. Set your expectations more realistically and you won't be so disappointed. You will also sound less whiny.

People griping now are going to really like this Shumpert kid.
