There's a lot of talk around the web today about Kemba slipping due to teams going for size over back court depth. I know he's kind of short, but he was a monster in the Tournament and has insane vertical leap (nearly 40"). There's a risk that he becomes N8 2.0, but on the other hand he fills a glaring need for us as backup PG and can also play the 2 once in awhile for spot duty in a speed offense.

If he slips past 10, do we try to make a deal for a pick in the 10-15 range? I'd strongly consider offering TD + $3mil + pick 17 for a pick that nets us Kemba (plus maybe a second rounder).

Thoughts?

Nope. If anything we should copy Milwaukee and trade that pick for a player who can help us now.

Kemba is not as good as you are making him out to be and that is too much to trade up to get him in a draft that is not worth trading up for.

Rumors running he has a minor knee and his stock falling......

He may drop to 17........

Want him at 10, but not at 17?

Well, you may be right about his skills in terms of how they translate to the NBA. 6'1" is short and unless he has Rubio-like court vision, there may be no way he can become a stud. Still, he was insanely great in the Tourney this year, playing out of his mind SICK hoops.

I'd take him in a heartbeat at 17. But I seriously doubt he falls that far unless there is confirmed information about a pre-existing injury. For all we know, it's Donnie Walnuts himself spreading that rumor.

Oh here it goes...I can already feel the draft excitement building and bringing me false hopes for Kemba!

Make it so Donnie! Jimmer who?
