Unstickied, Martin said it wasn't working. People were posting other threads anyway.

I really hope this is for Klay Thompson and not for Jimmer. We could still play for #10.

But let me just add, I think we might be better of staying put and getting, hopefully, Vucevic.

I gotta sayf. This guy is tough and rebounding is a strength and a grit player. Isn't Vucevic a skill player?

From what I've read he is a blue collar player with skills. Don't know if you can get any better than that for a big man at #17.

He also had a fitness freak dad who played European ball for 24 years. I always think that taking a kid with a dad who played any kind of pro-basketball is a big plus.

I'm wondering if management watched the finals. We need depth, not star power. If Vucevic is there at 17 - I think we come away from the draft doing very well.

Maybe they think they can buy a pick - but I'd rather not give up TD to move up in the draft.

Yahoo says Morris (if they don't trade up or down.)

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A0wNddGYPwNO2AwAawG8vLYF?slug=ycn-8686843

17 New York Knicks
Markieff Morris, PF
21 years old; 6-10, 240
Kansas, junior

This would be a bit of a slide for Markieff Morris, but one that he would be willing to live with once he sees where he ends up. The Knicks are looking for size, athleticism, shot-blocking and toughness, and Morris offers all of those things. He also comes with the benefit of being able to run the floor and shoot 3-pointers in Mike D’Antoni’s system, which makes him an ideal fit next to Amar’e Stoudemire.

just FYI: this is DX writing for Yahoo. Interesting pick with Burks and some of the more common names that have been associated with Knicks in past mocks.

Not a bad pick though I think. A bit undersized for a C.

I think the team may have more depth than a lot of us have been thinking. Many of the guys didn't get a lot of court time before the trade and everyone was learning how to play together while the coaches were trying figure out the best and the strengths and weakness of different lineups on the court during real games. Keep most of the current guys, draft wisely and pickup a couple of free agents and get ready to play. Should be a really good season...if we get to have one.

You're right, had to go back and look. Haven't seen enough of him to say either way. If Morris played center I'd still take him over Jeffries sight unseen. I thought Jeffries was coming back for limited minutes that's why I was ok with the deal initially..
